Dr. Fred Welden Caudill, MD

So very glad I found Dr Caudill. He is the most concerned Dr I have had in all my years of depression. He helps me mentally and gives me ideas on physical things I need to do. He actually cares and I feel very blessed to have become his patient

Dr. Caudill has worked with me and my wife for the last 14 years. He has been professional in every sense of the word ; caring, helpful, a good listener. I do believe I would not have been able to endure the trials of these years without the support and counsel of this professional.

Dr Caudill is very good ! I’m very grateful he has treated me for 11 plus years. If I call and asked what to do - when for instance, my condition becomes un-manageable -he has an on-call line and will call back to help me adjust my meds so I’m more balanced. It’s been my experience with other psyc MDs that I would have to wait until an Appt to get urgently needed help . I appreciate his knowledge of medicine and we discuss family things also. I don’t think regular conversation is wasted - as over years of being his patient , he can tell a about depressed vs ok- from simply discussing what’s happening in life. He is the best Psychiatric MD in the Charlotte area , for sure.

I have been Dr Caudill’s patient for more than 10 years. He’s excellent in helping me with my condition and from normal conversation, he can tell whether my meds are ok or need to be changed. He changes meds gradually and carefully, so as not to cause your body to have huge reactions. In events in which I became “manic” , he is very accessible by phone and is a very good MD. I would (and have ) )recommended my friends to see him with sleep problems , psyc issues and I am grateful to have Dr Caudill as my MD !!

He cared more about his son’s soccer game than my psychiatric distress on one occasion. And he won’t take Medicare just because he is not willing to do electronic medical records. That’s the way of the future. I think he just didn’t want to treat poor people anymore.

Dr.Caudill is by far the best of the best. He is very kind and understanding. He really listen to what you have to say. He makes good sound decisions on medications. He also knows a lot about adult adhd.

We were victims of a business robbery and a home invasion on the same day. I wanted to die. I had sever PTSD and could not leave the house. My family was away and I was desperate. I called every medical service in CLT and without a referral I was told I couldn't see a Dr. By some miracle I found Dr Caudill's office they were booked solid but by some miracle an appointment opened that afternoon. Perhaps his asst could hear the need in my voice. He found the right medications, assured me after what I had experienced in the course of four hours in a day my reaction was normal

Dr. Caudill is such a relief from the corporate world of waiting 5 hours for a 10-minute lecture and prescription. A very patient and understanding Doctor that just understands and takes the time to know who you are. Usually, runs exactly on time and schedules more than enough time each session. He is not another pill pusher and not a deaf ear. Dr. Caudill's feedback are true/ positive responses, shows active participation and problem-solving skills. Since my first session over 1.5 years ago, my world has completely changed due to his help and determination to see both my mental and physical health improve. Thank you Dr. Caudill!

So thankful to have Dr Caudill... (My previous dr in another city never made eye contact and tried constant med combos that were a nightmare. ) Dr. Caudill made me feel comfortable my first visit and was quick to observe his thoughts on a new diagnosis in addition to my others .. Very professional and wants to make you feel well and live again!! Great Dr and puts you at ease... Have been seeing him for multiple diagnosis..2yrs...
