He is very attentive before surgery but you kind of get thrown overboard after.

Dr. Muschler's surgical technique is best in the field, minimizing blood loss and maximizing precision resulting in a quality patient experience for what is considered a painful and stressful procedure, a total knee replacement. Even his care to reduce the odds of a post surgical infection is beyond that of the standard of care of most Orthopedic Surgeon. Pre-surgical Chlorhexidine wipes and a post surgical colloidal silver impregnated Aquacel AG bandage are both part of his high standard of care.

Released from hospital day after knee replacement. I live 4 hours away. No follow up inquiries and very poor at answering the one or two questions I called in over the next month. He never returned calls. Had his staff muddle through with answers. I hesitate to ask any other questions, three months after surgery, though I have some. I will find a local ortho to follow up with and probably won’t go back to him for one year check up as he had his assistant conduct one month check after I drove 4 hours to see him — for a very cursory exam.

My experience with Dr. Muschler was amazing from the initial consult to surgical procedure of my right hip which was a total hip replacement. Just can't thank him enough.

I have a very serious bone infection. My dad had recently died of the infection. He PROMISED he would help me. Then, he just abandoned me. He never told me. He waited for about 4 months after I did all of the pre-op work and traveled from NC to Cleveland. Now I have no doctor, fevers, I am bed ridden and he just plain does not care. It is cruel and mean. Shame on him. No reason given to me. I did everything he said and he gives me a life sentence. PATIENTS DESERVE BETTER.
