Dr. Girish V Vitalpur, MD

The office environment here is fine. It is easy enough to obtain an appointment and the staff at the front desk are courteous. However I did not have a good experience with Dr. Vitalpur on our first office visit with him and my preschooler. My son had an immediate allergy test shortly after arriving for his appointment. I was then told to hold him still and not let him move for 1/2 hour nor let his back rub against anything, including sitting on my lap with his back against me. Have you tried this with a preschooler who is quite active? I dealt with this issue and managed to complete the 1/2 hour by letting my son play touch each drop of water that was dripping out of the sink to keep him busy and not thinking about his back. Dr. Vitalpur came in and started rolling his eyes and making tsk tsk sounds to show he was not happy about it. Sorry but when you specialize in pediatric allergies I somehow believe your level of patience should be a little higher. It would be of benefit… not to make your displeasure so obvious with the patients mother. Perhaps that is after the testing was completed and his allergies diagnosed we moved to a new allergist. Bedside manner is important when dealing with pediatric patients.
