Dr. Gordon Harold Hafner, MD

I visited Fairfax Hospital with an Incarcerated non-retractable umbilical hernia, and was admitted to the hospital overnight. Dr.s Dort/Hafner's staff visited me, and determined that my surgery was NOT an emergency. I had to schedule surgery from my hospital room (2 week out), and staff (not knowing I was not on mute) said "its that guy". 3 days prior to surgery, I cancelled surgery, in lieu of a consult. I thought it was wise to speak to the guy first. I made the appointment, only for them to cancel it the day before ... no reason given. Calls for further appointments, with any of their surgeons are REJECTED -- straight out of a Seinfeld episode. RUN AWAY. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!

Was told recovery from surgery would be a couple of days then could go back to work. Recovery period went over four weeks because of pain. After over 12 weeks now still pain necessitating further intervention.

He did an excellent job on my surgery. His prediction on how long it would take me to get better was overly optimistic, though. It's taking me about 60% longer to heal than he predicted.
