Not a man you can trust do you want that and your doctor

Dr. Van Tassel is one of the rare exceptions, in that he truly cares and listens to his patients. He’s a very good doctor and I feel lucky to have found him for my general medical needs.

Dr. Van Tassell is a gift from the medical Gods. West Hollywood Urgent care is super lucky to have his knowledge and kindness.

I have gone to Dr. Van Tassle for years. He has always taken time to make sure you are heard. I live in Texas and work in Los Angeles. I had a heart attack and a stroke. He called to see why I hadn’t been to see him and was so concerned he called again. If I go back to Los Angeles again I will go see him.

Thank you Dr. Van Tassell for being so kind. You listened to me, never made me feel uncomfortable, and have me on medications that actually work now.

Missed simple diagnosis, failed to run promised screenings, withheld treatment for reasons other physicians would not concur and labs provided false negative results. Communications were poor, unclear and slow.

I saw this Doctor twice for a work related head injury(Workers Comp). While I was ready to return to work he did not take the time to ask how I was doing and was not even aware what had been written in my chart by the other doctor that I saw at this practice. I really felt that since it was a WC injury he was just shuffling me out the door. Would never return to this particular doctor.

Pro's: Walked in and saw a doctor with 30 minutes. Beat's Urgent Care in that regard.Con's: Had some blood work done. I was told by the doctor they would email me results within 48 hours. A week went by, nothing. I emailed the doctor, and he responded with "you need to request your lab results". I was immediately confused. Didn't I do that when I let them draw my blood and they said they would send me the results, and I said "great"? So I played along...I requested my lab results in email. A few days later I got them, with absolutely no commentary whatsoever from the doctor. I responded with an email asking him to explain the results and give me a recommendation. No reply. A week later I emailed him again. No reply. A couple days later I called their offices and let them know my doctor was not responding. They told me to send him en email. I told them I had sent several. A couple hours later, he responded with a one sentence email..."results normal...no recommendation".… I realize I am not going to UCLA Medical Center or Cedars here, but come on. At least make a token effort to care a LITTLE about your patients.
