Dr. Gregory Scott Harrison, MD

I was finally given diagnosis of spondylolisthesis so I know what the problem is...however he doesn’t seem interested in solving the problem, only addressing the symptoms with a procedure previously done twice with no affect. My pain is getting progressively worse and since he isn’t interested in fixing the issue I’m looking for another doctor.

Dr. Harrison performed my lumbar laminectomy and bilateral foraminotomy from L2-L5 on May 4, 2018. I'm approximately 6 weeks post op and could not be happier with the results of the surgery. Before the surgery my legs would burn while walking or just standing and I had low back pain. Today I am free from that completely. Dr. Harrison is a very low key but very thorough doctor. He took the necessary time with me and answered my questions. I cannot thank him and his staff enough for giving me my life back.

Surgery has given me freedom from pain that I thought I was going to have to deal with for the rest of my life. Highly skilled in his field. Excellent staff. Easy to talk with and answered my question.

very through in his diagnosis. Explained in language I could understand. Also, explained very clearly how he thought he could help my spine problem.

Found this dr to not listen or offer help or direction when surgery not needed.

Not very welcoming in his manner -- rather cool and strictly business-like. Cancelled my surgery for a high A1C but despite knowing I am diabetic, didn't tell me about his criteria. I still don't know at what level my A1C would be acceptable to him. I went to another surgeon who operated on me a few weeks later without commenting on my A1C. I healed quickly and have had a good recovery. I looked up the studies on A1C effect on surgery recovery and found the seminal study to have a sample of 39 people. Hardly a good random sampling. If there are others since, maybe a high A1C has a deleterious impact, but not in my experience.

Dr. Harrison did a great job on my low back. Would recommend without reservation.
