DR. DURKIN REALLY LISTEN TO WHAT I HAD TO SAY. SHE EXPLAIN MY THYROID NODULE CONCERN WHICH I HAD SEEN 2 OTHER DOCTORS FOR. SHE GAVE ME PIECE OF MIND.

Would not recommend this doctor at all! Agree with all prior comments about having no bedside manner. Didn't provide any solution to my problem. When I asked for suggestions, she just stared at me and said it was nothing to worry about. I should have read these reviews before going to the appointment. Find someone else that will take the time to listen. What a waste of my time and money.

Had an appointment today arrived 5 minutes early and was told that I needed to be there 15 minutes early before the appointment. The receptionist went on to say that the Doctor was with another patient only to come back to tell me she had gone home for the day. No apology...Nothing!!!! This is totally rude and unprofessional.

Bilateral paralysis of my vocal cords after my thyroid surgery leaving me with a permanently compromised airway and speech at 28 years old. Didn't show much compassion or concern after leaving me with a tracheotomy for almost 3 months either.

She was excellent!!

I knew from the moment I started talking to her what kind of doctor she was. Completely ignored the reason why I was there, and started suggesting that I have expensive testing done on things I wasn't even there for... and they were tests I already had done. She's more or less a gold digger. Extremely rude with horrible bedside manner, and if you don't agree to have the tests she wants you to take... she throws you out of her office. She struck me as being a horrible person, and I will never in my life return. It was a horrible experience with a horrible doctor. Don't go there if you need an ENT.

I though that going to a female doctor would make for a more empathetic experience as compared to previous ENT visits. Dr. Durkin was more than 35 minutes late for my appointment. She was not polite. She didn't apologize for being late and making me wait--and I was her SECOND appointment of the day! She didn't offer any type of diagnosis and sort of implied that I needed to just accept my fate of having some chronic sinus issues. I later found a doctor in Madison who quickly figured out my problem and fixed it during a very minor surgery. The missed diagnosis bothers me, but that's understandable--Dr. Durkin is an average doctor, not an amazing one. What really upset me, though, is the unacceptable wait time. I realize that she's "a doctor" but I'm 100% certain that I make more per hour than she does, and part of me wanted to send her a bill for my time. The whole God complex thing was lost on me, and I wouldn't recommend Dr. Durkin to anyone, I'm sorry.

When my problem continued I went elsewhere. Dr. Durkin was not helpful or friendly. As a person who rarely goes to doctors I expected that the doctor will listen and respond. In other words, I do not cry wolf. Dr. Durkin told me what I did not have but was no help in suggesting a solution. Another doctor did find the correct diagnosis and I am being treated. It was not clearly an ENT problem but that is part of the manifestation of the disease. She did not think out of the box at all or suggest another avenue. A waste of time.
