I’ve been going to Dr. Yar for years and she’s really helped keep my allergy symptoms under control. Very experienced, professional with compassion for her patients. Highly recommend for anyone with allergy issues.

This comment applies to the office at 404 Park Ave rather than Dr. Yarmohammadi, but it applies nonetheless, since only she is in the position to change the practice. Consider this: on one occasion, I spent 2.5 hours waiting for the doctor with an 8-month old baby on my hands. Reminded me of the New Yorker cartoon when a receptionist says to the skeleton: "The doctor will be with you in just a moment...". But on the occasion immediately prior to this review, I showed up at 9:06 for a 9:00 appt. Waiting room nearly empty; after filling out a detailed 6-page form, was told that actually there's a 20-minute window which I blew, and would have to be rescheduled, since Dr. Yarmohammadi is "very strict about seeing patients on time". The canned reply to any plea you can think of was "it's not our problem...". If you enjoy bureaucracy and office staff who don't try to solve problems but will enjoy screwing you on a technicality, then try this office. I hope Dr. Yarmohammadi reads this and… realizes that the patient experience starts in the waiting room, and that the responsibility for the office staff falls partly on the doctors who hire them.

I called with an urgent new patient appointment request but was put off for a week because I had antihistamines in my bloodstream. I suffered with painful hives all over my body waiting for my appointment only to get a call the day before that Dr. Yarmohammadi is overbooked and that my appointment will be canceled and rescheduled for later. My pain and suffering meant nothing to ENT Allergy and the woman who called me didn't even remember that we'd spoken on the phone three times. FAIL, FAIL FAIL. My new doctor is wonderful and spent an hour with me on my first visit. Do your research and don't put up with this kind of uncaring, commercialized, incompetent nonsense.

After getting Pneumonia four out of five winters and getting hospitalized twice, I finally went to Dr. Yar, who thought a bit, did some tests and provided a diagnosis that turned my life around. I went two years without being sick afterwards. Dr. Yar is an angel and a godsend.
