Dr. Harriet Bigelow Dann, MD

My vision will never be the same after the number she’s done on my eyes. I swear she gave me the wrong lenses for cataract surgery but of course she’d never admit it. I’m devastated with my experience, not to mention her cold, and poor bedside manner. Something with that facility is not right either, they can’t hold onto staff to save their lives. Glad I found a new ophthalmologist who goes above and beyond for me. Run, don’t walk away from her.

Office is very disorganized, the Dr makes patients wait for hours & then yells at them in the room! Her cataract surgery results are terrible! Every time I go in there there are new employees, no one ever stays.. must be a reason

I have been under the care of Dr. Dann for many years. Both my father and oldest brother have serious eye diseases, and Dr. Dann, knowing my family history, has provided excellent care over the years. I would highly recommend Dr. Dann for any opthalmology services.

I have many doctors in my family, I understand wait-times. But what I don’t understand is the unfriendly, cold approach that she had while I was a patient. I stayed with her for many years, enduring my discomfort, because I thought having a good doc was a trade-off. However, I continued to have poor scripts written for glasses. When I went back with a prescription to be re-done, she said I was “probably diabetic”. I told her my PC does bloodwork every six months. She said, “These small town docs don’t know what they’re talking about.” I called my PC on the way home to let him know what she said. I’ll never go back.

Complained of seeing flashes. She rudely stated this was a normal part of aging. Went to another doctor, turned out to be detached retina requiring immediate emergency surgery. She either doesn’t care or is completely incompetent. Avoid at all cost.

She’s miserable and needs to stop practicing. Every time I’ve gone in for an appointment she’s in some kind of mood and I feel horrible every time I leave. Not only that, but waiting time is ridiculous, place is a mess.

Saw Dr. Dann as a new patient. Her off was very clean and the staff were wonderful. I was greeted immediately upon arrival and the staff at the desk were very knowledgeable, helping me to sort out my insurance questions..the technician I saw was very thorough and kind. I waited after dilation and was seen by the doctor. She was very thorough and we had great conversation about traveling Would recommend Dr.Dann

I was a patient of dr. Dann’s for several years and each year the quality of service has gotten worse and worse. 1) There’s one of the receptionist (short with dark hair n glasses) that is very very rude. She is definitely in the wrong business.. 2) whatever the dr is doing she doing it all wrong. Ever since I started seeing her my eyesight has declined significantly. Everyone (techs n dr) you encounter is putting multiple different drops in your eyes and I swear all of that has made my eyes worse! Since my last appointment my eyes are not the same I feel like the drops haven’t worn off and I can barely see clearly anymore. I would not recommend this office to anyone. She and her practice had gone down. I’m so upset with them I can’t believe what I’ve experienced. I pray my vision gets better and back to normal.

I have an eye problem that requires frequent visits. I would usually wait at least 45 min before being taken in. Then there's the long wait between the technician & the doctor. I changed to a new doctor- who is on time & very nice. He asked that I contact Dr. Dann's office to get my files transferred to him. I contacted the office & was told that I needed to fill out a form from them first. I asked to be sent the form- it never came. I called again- they said they would send the form, but didn't. I called again- they said they would e-mail the forms- they didn't. The office will not send me the form necessary to get my files sent to the new doctor.
