Dr. Irvin Jay Seeman, MD

After my colonoscopy and Endoscopy I was told that my medication I was taking was not enough for my gastritis. I had just filled my prescription of 40mg of pantoprazole so he said just take it twice a day and when it runs out a new script will be filled. I did what he said and now that I'm done with my original prescription, he is saying he never said anything about an increase. SO...now I have to wait for my original prescription to be filled. His nurse asked if he gave me my prescription after my colonoscopy. I said no I have to finish mine first. She rolled her eyes and walked off. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL doctor. I could have google searched acid reflux to get the same service I was given! I called my regular doctor to ask about the increase he suggested and she said the increase would be dangerous. He had me take the dangerous increase and then I was cut off and have to wait for a refill because nothing was documented.

Came in with chronic diarrhea. Dr. Seeman seemed very dismissive and generally disinterested in discussing what might be wrong. Poor bedside manner.

I have been waiting for test for about a month, and still have heard anything.

This was my first visit to a Gastroenterologist and it was not a good experience. Dr. Seeman came in vey late and seemed less than interested in my symptoms. When I finished talking he said "so what do you want? A colonoscopy?" He acted like I shouldn't be there. I reluctantly had a Colonoscopy only to "wake up" during the procedure and then was given more medicine and ended up getting sick because of it. He sent a nurse in after and never followed up with me. TERRIBLE bedside manner, to put it mildly.

Not only is the wait time horrible but his staff is rude as well. To add insult to injury he is a horrible doctor as well. I had to go to another doctor to get the treatment i so badly needed. I waited for him to start proper treatment for 5 months! By the time I got it my disease had advanced so much that I now need surgery. He is also very uncaring and told me to suck it up during a very painful colonoscopy in which he did not wait to start until the medicine had kicked in. find a different doctor.

He has no interest, made me wait. Wanted to schedule surgery without even diagnosis anything. Beside mannner is horrible.I suggest you find a better doctor who will take time for you. Not charge you for stuff you dont even need.

He only spent 5 mins was in such a rush to leave. Charging me alot of money for doing nothing, saying they are charging me for advice.

Direct to the point horrible bed side manner. I asked what type of test need to be done to insure my gallbladder needed to be removed and he said you do not need any test just schedule a surgeon and have it removed. No explanation, no explaining why my gallbladder needed to be removed, just have it removed.

My daughter has had to see Dr Seeman on a number of occasions. We have found him to be matter-of-fact to the point of seeming disinterested. He offered no hope for her condition and basically said, "Take the medicine until it doesn't work anymore. Then you will have to have surgery to remove your intestines." We cannot recommend him.
