Dr. Yusuf M Saleeby has the following 2 specialties
- Internal Medicine
An internist is a physician who focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions that affect the adult population—both acute and chronic.
These doctors are often who adults see as their primary physicians because they treat a broad range of illnesses that do not require surgical or specialist interventions. They also work to help a patient maintain optimal health in order to prevent the onset of disease.
In addition to treating the common cold and flu, internists also treat chronic diseases like diabetes and heart disease.
- General Practice
A general practitioner is similar to a family practitioner in that they treat patients of all ages with a variety of health concerns. These doctors treat everyday ailments, some acute and chronic diseases, and also provid health checkups, physicals, inoculations and preventative care.
General practitioners differ from family practitioners because they are not required to complete an additional residency in family medicine after completing their medical school residency. Like family practitioners, general practitioners will also provide referrals to patients who are in need of a specialist.

Great doctor. He and his staff (I actually saw his FNP, but he came into the room for a while) are wonderful. They actually listened to me without cutting me off and sending me out the door with a prescription. I spent over an hour with the nurse practitioner and she was able to take me off a medication I did not need. I am very happy about that.
Had initial visit, lab work, spent more than $500 on labs, visit, and supplements suggested by MD. Went back for follow up and had another visit in 2 months to recheck lab work . 2 weeks prior to my scheduled appoint, I received a letter that he was no longer taking any insurance. I was told I could pay out of pocket, but I pay for insurance, why would I pay for insurance and then pay him out of pocket. It's obvious his concern is not patient care but making money. I was so hopeful when I made the appt that I had found a physician that was interested in improving my health. So, now I have to find another doctor, pay for another visit in order to obtain refills for medication. He has stopped taking all insurance and medicare even though his website states differently. He states he is doing this to prevent the insurance company from dictating the care, but I would be willing to pay out of pocket for additional tests, etc that were not covered by insurance if he felt they were needed. 4
It is unfortunate that there is anger in a provider taking necessary moves to offer better service without the interference of government and insurance companies. I realize and appreciate the concerns, as we had accepted most insurances and the low-co-payments on our patients; however, had I remained, our office would now be closed. I refused to ''bend'' to the will of the insurance industry, so in late 2014 we terminated all our contracts. We make every effort to help our patients file for reimbursements. We did our due diligence in making this known to our patients, and the ones who remain in the practice are very happy to receive excellent care from my staff and providers. They value their health and are willing participants to make out-of-pocket investments in their health and wellness. Linda our office manager is always happy to answer questions about insurance and how the industry has changed to put patients at risk for unpaid laboratory bills. This is beyond our control. I feel sorry for patients seeking medical care that are forced to pay high fees for x-rays and labs and medications. - J.P. Saleeby, MD
