I saw Dr. Perlmutter today after experiencing continuous back pain under the care of another orthopedic surgeon. I was impressed with his empathetic listening, explicit explanations, and conservative plan of treatment. His expertise was obvious. I am 74 years old and - after consulting the physician I had seen for over 35 years - was unaccustomed to such careful consideration from an orthopedic . I am optimistic about treatment for my back pain. Thank you Dr. Perlmutter!

Dr. Perlmutter performed an L4-5 decompression and posterolateral fusion for spondylolisthesis. From the initial consultation all the way through the check-up visits after the surgery & related physical Therapy, Dr. Perlmutter was wonderful. He never rushed me during our visits, he answered all of my questions, reviewed all options and confidently provided me with the best solutions. His care before, during and after surgery were the best. The surgery solved the problem I was having but another problem related to arthritis above the surgical site showed up after surgery (it was probably there all along, but the pain from the L4-5 discs distracted me from noticing it). Dr. Perlmutter identified where the new pain was coming from and referred me to another doctor for some injections. All is good now.

I found Dr. Jack perlmutter a refreshing difference from all the big shot doctors at Rush or northwestern hospital. You are more than a number and A big paycheck. He as long as he's been treating me seems to really care about me the individual. Thank you Dr Jack you and your staff are a notch above the rest.

I had an injury that was diagnosed in the ER - they referred me to Dr. Perlmutter, who performed surgery. I was very happy with him and the results.
