Dr. Jacob Carl Lewis Rumley, DO

Horrible experience. They told me to get there by 3PM. By 3:45PM I still hadn’t been seen and I left very upset. My time is valuable. Then they told me that even though I was told to get there by 3PM the Doctor wasn’t actually scheduled to see me until 3:30PM so I shouldn’t be upset that I spent 45 minutes waiting in pain with no Doctor. The best part is he then writes this after patient summary that blames me for the whole incident, pretends that I was only waiting 15 minutes (ie, I’m being unreasonable) and bans me from his practice for life (like I would ever go back). His office in Longmont is a bit of a dump and I feel they treat patients with no respect.

Dr Rumley is truly amazing. He has performed 2 extensive spinal fusions on me and they have been life changing. He gives compassionate, extensive knowledgeable, professional care. He always takes time to listen to my symptoms, questions and concerns and answers that help me to understand. I just can’t say enough about Dr Rumley. I highly recommend him to everyone. If I could give him 10 stars I would!

Amazing! I honestly can’t even put into words how grateful I am to have met such a wonderful person and a doctor who truly knows what he’s doing. I’ve been dealing with lower back pain for the past three years. I saw different specialists, but unfortunately, I never felt like anyone was really addressing the problem. Then I was referred to him and from the moment I walked in, I felt completely comfortable and well taken care of. He listened to me, recognized the pain I was experiencing, and took the time to figure out what was actually causing it. I found out that I do have an L5 lumbar herniated disc, but thankfully, that wasn’t the source of my pain. It was a muscle injury. He injected the area where I was experiencing the pain, and within about five minutes, I felt relief. I actually started crying because after three years of dealing with this pain, I finally felt like someone had truly helped me. It’s now day two after the injection, and I feel AMAZING! I still have to continue… with physical therapy, but I’m so grateful for the relief I’ve experienced already. I would highly recommend. He genuinely cares about his patients, loves what he does, and truly wants to help people find answers and solutions. A doctor like that is one of a kind. I hope more people have the opportunity to find a doctor who listens, cares, and genuinely wants to help. Thank you so much for giving me hope and, most importantly, relief!

This doctor s extremely friendly but not in an unprofessional manner. He's very professional and if he doesn't know something he will tell you and bring in a doctor with him that is more able to help evaluate a person's situation. He has always answered all of my questions in an understanding manner. He has never made me feel unintelligent for asking for clarity even when I have felt less than intelligent in my own mind. He makes me part of my treatment plan. He gives me options and says what his recommendations are. It's refreshing to have a personable doctor in this day and age where things seem to be briven by money and/or volume. I highly recommend this doctor!

Dr. Rumley is the BEST! I have been seeing him for 5 maybe 6 years now. He did a multi level spinal fusion on me and I have no regrets. He is always up front with everything that was going on with my back and never tried to sugarcoat anything. Always telling me what he was going to do and what to expect. I feel that I have received the best care from him and his PA Kate. Kate is the best.

Dr. Rumley is knowledgeable and asks lots of questions to determine exact underlying problems and their cause. He also asked several questions about past spine injuries. I feel that he is both honest and trustworthy. Previously he performed my husband’s very complicated spine surgery producing an exceptional results and a lasting outcome. He’s the only spine surgeon whom I would go to.

Dr. Rumley is highly intelligent and took the time to explain MRI findings and X-rays to me on the large computer screens in a manner that was easy to undestand. One can quickly ascertain that he is compassionate and truly cares about patients and helping them resolve their injury/degenerative issues. My issues are with my neck. I feel comfortable moving forward with the next steps and following the plan as it comes together. I am excited to hopefully get rid of my pain and widespread neurological symptoms.

We are so very grateful and thankful for Dr. Rumley. This is the first time that i have been out of severe chronic pain for years. I am starting to enjoy life again even at my age. He treated my wife and I like family! We were so comfortable and at ease at every appointment for the last few years. He listens and cares! He is an amazing surgeon! Thank you Dr. Rumley.
