Excellent ophthalmologist!

This doctor is wonderfully kind and patient. He was amazing with my toddler and i would recommend him to anyone.

My experience today with Dr. James Kreter was the worst doctor visit I ever encountered. Not a pleasant greeting. He didn't show a pleasant attitude doing the examination. He didn't provide me patient privacy. He kept the examine room door open throughout the examination, I asked for a copy of written instructions he recommended, he refused by telling me he will mail them to me and walked out of the room. I'm looking for a new doctor. I have other doctors at Riverside Medical Center who are very professional. The Ophthalmology Department needs to clean house and startover with new doctors. This is the second time i have encounted poor professional service in this department.

I took my 6 year old daugther in to the office for an eye examination with Dr. Kreter and, it was the worst experience of my life as a parent. When the nurse had a difficult time putting drops into my daughter's eyes (because my daughter was scared and upset), Dr. Kreter came into the treatment room, pushed me out of the way, and forcefully held down my daughter by the neck choking her with the weight of his arm against her throat. Then, after the drops were in, Dr. Kreter left the room without saying anything. When the nurse told us to go to the waiting room for 10 minutes so the drops could take effect, I decided that I was not going to let Dr. Kreter complete the examination and, I told the nurse that I was taking my daughter (who was crying hysterically and visibly shaking) home. So, parents be aware that this is NOT the doctor that you want to see your children.
