Dr. James Stirbl, MD

After 4 appointments and over 1 hr. in the waiting room, I was finally sent to an exam room to wait further to see my new primary care physician. While waiting, a short, old man wearing two (2) dirty face masks and a soiled lab coat entered the room. He asked me to "pull up my mask". Since my mask was already properly in place, I pulled it up and off my face so that I could speak clearly. He immediately yelled back, "Put your mask back on! What are you doing here?" I responded I'm here to see Dr. Stirbl to which he yelled back "I AM Dr. Stirbl!" Needless to say, I was shocked and confused at the same time. All I wanted was to obtain another primary care physician so that I could follow up on my previous physician's recommendation to get a referral to a Urologist in my area. I had already been forced thru many 'hoops' (4 appointments) in order to speak with this purported doctor from Barcerlona, Spain aka: James Stirbl. Considering I have personal, professional experience… as a licensed, medical sales rep who has trained over 70 surgeons in microsurgical techniques I feel it is extremely important that I sincerely warn anyone from wasting their time or risking their health with this insurance scam artist.

I want to start off by saying this is a HORRIBLE establishment. I do not recommend this place whatsoever if you are someone who cares about your health. First off, you spend 40 minutes waiting at the receptions only to wait another 40 in the waiting room. The receptionists and their lack of professional experience is probably the worst. I was told I needed to come in to get a refill that I had tried placing over the phone. Apparently it’s a new policy. So I went in paid $30 for co-pay, only for the doctor to tell me she had already placed the order a week before. I was never contacted by any of the clueless receptionist ahead of time, so now I’m down $30 and on top of that have to pay for my refill. Prior to that I had called a late Saturday, unaware that they were already closed. Asked for a refill for the same prescription, and was on hold for 25 minutes! I live a block away so I drove to the office, still on hold and asked why I’ve been on hold for 25 minutes. Lo and behold,… the receptionist said that they were closed….so why did you pick up the phone and leave me on hold for 25 minutes?! Just tell me to call back another day. Her other excuse was that they were busy…you just said you were closed…how?! Dr. Stirble was there, which btw other problems with the doctor, did nothing and cowered behind the window, didn’t even apologize, and don’t even care at this point. I’m just glad to have finished my treatment and leave that trash of a place. This is not a great place for health; the place is dirty, and poorly managed. If you were placed here automatically by your insurance, get out!
