Dr. James Dudley Weimar, MD

Dr Weimar performed a laminectocy for L3 on me back in 2013. I recovered well without complication. I did not meet Dr. Weimar until after my first surgery. Within six months, I was cleared and the same day of my appointment my symptoms returned. Within a month, I experienced foot drop and loss of bladder control. The disc above had blown, something they were surprised only about it happening so quickly, but not that it happened. It seems that the first surgery can increase friction on the other diseased discs. I was not told this during any visit. I had a second laminectomy and fusion of the L 3,4,5. At the Spine Hospital this time. The first was done at St Francis. Within a week I experienced a deep wound infection and had a third emergency surgery and hospitalization, along with a 120 plus mile ambulance ride of which I remember nothing. In fact, I lost at least 10 days and my condition was “touch and go” for about 3 or 4 days. I was on antibiotic infusions for weeks with home… health involved. This was a horrendous experience for me and my family. My infection was 45 centimeters deep. Look that up. I don’t recommend the Spine Hospital although I felt that Dr Weimar was a good and competent doctor.

Kept me waiting for hours for a morning appointment, did not do any evaluation of me himself which he lies about in his report (some helper poked at me for about 10 min), Rude to me, made numerous blatant lies in his report to the court, had zero interest in the medical reports, scans and tests I provided and wouldn’t answer a single question. Storming out of the room after only about 3 minutes with the phrase “I don’t know why you’re not listening to me since your fate is in our hands”.

He acted like I was an inconvenience to be seen, even though I waited for an hour in the exam room to see him. The only doctor I have seen who didn't shake my hand even. Then he had no clue as to why I was being seen. I had enough and left. He needs to learn how to treat his potential patients.

Delbert Heier , I had a subdural hematoma...... dr. Weimer operated on me at 3 in the morning...... need I say more. the care was amazing..... explanation to family and myself was just what we needed thank you so much to you and your staff.

the surgery pain relif lasted 3 months and was right back, two years later he says"nothing I can do for you".

The day after surgery I saw the dr. briefly. My year follow ups were always performed by the PA. Very discouraging to call the office with problems and they either push you aside until the next visit or do not return your call. It has been almost 1 1/2 yrs. since my surgery and my pain has come back just like it was prior to surgery....I called to see if I could get a pain center referral....no call back...after 3 weeks I went to my family doctor and got one. I certainly am not happy with the care I received.

This Doctor is brilliant, but not cocky. He is compassionate with patients and treats his staff with respect, too!

Major surgery then never saw Dr again. Was not interested in outcome.

Timely on all accounts. Surgical team most efficient and friendly. I liked this staff very much. Excellent care and explaining of procedures.
