Dr. Bales is wonderful! I have suffered tremendous pain in my leg and foot for about four years. She did a nerve test that had previously been performed by another doctor and found that the large nerve going down my leg and then branching into my foot is caught in my deterioriated knee. This is what I thought two years ago but was told no after the first test, it was coming from my back. I had already had back surgery to open the nerve exits from my spine. Finally her diagnosis makes sense and I have a little hope again.

I asked for an explanation of an EMG she did for me. She refused to communicate with me about my need for Medical Information. I asked her three times to help me and she refused. By that I mean she did NOT communicate with me. She provided helpful comments about her EMG on me, but when I asked for further info, she refused and did NOT get back with me. She is a Doctor who thinks she is a 9 when in fact she is in Reality/Based on the Evidence, actually a 2 1/2 or maybe a 3 at the most. Unfortunately our choices in my town are limited, so it's either Silent Jamie or nobody. I simply cannot understand how she can take a Hippocratic Oath and Violate her Oath with impunity!

Incredibly rude, dismissive and unprofessional. Unwilling to consider evidence from the patient and multiple other physicians if it does not fit her own ideas. I feel that she would probably be an adequate doctor only if your condition fits her exact definitions because she has no interest in anything than being correct. If she can't solve the problem easily, it must be your fault. Another unfortunate example of medical gaslighting.

Dr Bales is professional and very knowledgeable. I trust her with my care.

Dr. Bales was just as driven to find the cause of my symptoms as me. She listened to my and my spouse's accounts and directed our search for an answer, offering reassurance throughout. She ordered tests quickly and followed up with me in a timely manner. To begin my treatment, after a diagnosis was given, she ordered a medication regimen which I was able to start that same day. I found her investigative nature to align with my own and she continues to be a great provider!

Excellent care. Very informative, patient and convivial and extremely competent.

I've only visited a handful of times. I visit Bales to treat a condition I was diagnosed with and treated for by two other decent doctors. It's out of her area of specialization, but she's what is available to me. My first visit, I was not impressed. She seemed like she was interrogating me, looking for cracks in my "story"... or as I like to call it... my life. Im certainly not surprised to read that she's skeptical of patients complaints. I might not have gone back if I had an alternative. I noticed that in the halls she was very cheery and upbeat with other patients on that same day. She did prescribe a new medication that had not been brought up by any other doctors, and I agreed to try it. My second visit went better. It was brief and impersonal. The med she prescribed was helping a bit so that probably softened her a bit. She also offered up some interesting information about my condition. Third visit, I requested to try a medication used occasionally for my… condition and she was totally fine with prescribing it. Again, fairly impersonal and very brief. All in all, Im not sure I'd trust Bales with a diagnosis. She seems to want to 'break' symptoms, to find inconsistencies or something, like they do in research settings. Unfortunately, that's theory and what she does is practice. Unfortunately, she seems to view patients as cases more than as people. And she seems to tailor her behavior, in extremes, to what she believes fits the case - detachment, 'tough love', or positivity. She's a pretty good doctor but never take anything personally and always get a second opinion for the big things.

I have never received anything but top notch quality service from Dr. Bales and anyone else in her office. Everyone is professional and friendly at the same time.

Dr. Bales is the BEST Neurologist in this area. I highly recommend her to everyone.
