Dr. John Ryan Anderson, MD

I've been seeing Dr. Anderson for about 28 years. I cannot say one negative thing about him. He is very through and listens. I've never had a problem scheduling an appointment. His staff is very nice as well. He is familiar with me and my medical history as well my family history without even looking at his computer. If your doctor remembers who you are, and even a bit of your history, that tells me he cares about his patients. The only thing I've noticed over the last Year is the wait time is longer and longer I would assume it's due to his patient volume. Good docs in this area are hard to find depending on the specialty so I wait patiently. He is apologetic if your wait has been long, but doesn't rush your appointment if he is running behind. I wish they stayed as pratt medical center. NOT impressed with Sentara so far. Their billing practices are horrible so far. But that's not the fault of the Doctor.

Dr. Anderson is the best doctor I've ever had. Very thorough. You may have to wait, but he's worth it. He is a very good listener.

Dr. Anderson is a very personable doctor and very attentive but the wait time every time my husband and I have been in is way longer than it should be and no one offers an explanation as to why. A majority of times we've had to wait at least half an hour in the waiting room and then at least that amount of time in the exam room.

Dr. Anderson is the best personal doc I have ever had. Wonderful listener and thoughtful. Outside the box thinker and problem solver. The best!

about making a diagnosis. He dismissed a lot of my comments/concerns as being "anxiety" when I in fact had a true illness that was later diagnosed by another doctor.
