Dr. Jong Liang Chen, MD

the office staff is rude surly slow and unprofessional. it's next to impossible to get anyone to answer the phone. if you call at 10 o'clock in the morning you get a recording saying they don't open till 8 o'clock in the morning. it gives you an answering service number that I think is his home phone. but I have never in my life been made to feel bad about going to a doctor until I went here. many years ago I worked for a urologist, during the interview for the job I was told to always be more than decent to the patients because I CHOSE to be there, they HAVE to be there. Dr. Chen's staff obviously doesn't follow this rule. Dr. Chen could REALLY use some work on his bedside manner. He never spoke a word to me the whole time he was in my room.

VEry rude front desk lady with the heavy accent. She didnt put the correct name on my file there. Very unprofessional.

We waited to see the doctor for over an hour. He had horrible bed side manner. He spent more time closing the blinds in the room than examining and talking to us about my husbands condition. There was another patients urine sample sitting on the sink. He didn't explain anything to us about my husbands condition. We know no more about my husband condition than we did prior to going to this "specialist" in Urology. Awful experience.

DOCTOR CHEN IS VERY GOOD DOCTOR.

Will be better if confirmation of appointments are at least a day ahead.

The staff helped me feel comfortable & safe. Any questions that I asked, they answer respectfully and professionally!

I was told to be seen at Dr. Chen's Office because I have chronic pyleonephritis and I'm at a high risk pregnancy, but when I went into his office after an appointment was set up (before this they told me not to eat or drink anything) they ended up telling me that they only needed information and that I couldn't see the doctor after I had got out of the hospital. He was supposed to see me while I was at the hospital (I was in for 5 days) and he never showed up. But 3 months later they ended up calling me again for another appointment (after I already had 2 more kindey infections). This is very very dissapointing to not be treated by this doctor after having so many problems.

If this guy ever was a patient advocate, he isn't anymore. He waited 3 days to have something done about a 1/4 inch kidney stone lodged between a kidney and the bladder causing a blockage from the kidney where fluid would back up into the kidney. When he did do something about it he didn't perform the procedure himself. He let a radiology technician put in a stent AROUND the stone from the kidney to the bladder and a tube running out of the kidney to drain excess fluid. With all that time and effort of waiting around to have something done, he could have spent up to 1 hour doing laparoscopy to remove the stone completely. What started out as 2 days was turned into 4 days. He didn't want to do a simple procedure because he wasn't going to get paid. The patient had no insurance.
