Dr. Joseph John Banno, MD

Appointment problems, 2 hours in waiting room, rude staff, scare tactics, and unnecessary tests ordered. There’s not room here to detail everything. We were then charged for 4 tests not administered. Our second opinion doctor confirmed that we were correct in firing Dr. Banno. I would NOT recommend this doctor to anyone.

Money grabbers -- My husband’s urine analyses indicated a concern and a need for a Cystoscopy (scope) to rule out or confirm urinary tract cancer. We were told that a CT scan, a COVID test, blood work and a physical were needed. When we arrived at our local hospital for the CT scan which Dr. Banno’s office had scheduled and sent us in writing, our local hospital had no appointment and said they didn’t even do that type of CT. He did get the necessary blood work done. We then scheduled it at the office for the same day as the physical. We waited for 90 min., even after reporting at the desk that we’d been there a long time. They argued with us about the time of our appointment. After finally double checking, they found that we indeed had the correct time. They did the CT scan and then said they would go ahead with the physical, the blood work and the lung X-ray. What??!! We had not been told that all of this was needed for a scope and his blood work would 34 days old by the time of… the scope so it had to be redone. My husband declined the additional testing and we left over 2 hrs. after arriving, letting the office know that we would not be back. He got an appointment with a different doctor who said the scope was not even necessary. The original urine test didn’t show anything unusual. “IF” he had done a scope – NONE of this extra testing was necessary. Dr. Bannos’s office was looking to make as much money as they could off of an unsuspecting patient. I wouldn’t suggest anyone go to that office. They scared us with the possibility of a dire diagnosis, ordered many unnecessary tests and the office staff put us through many scheduling errors. More than one of the staff was also rude.

Consultation appointment discussed need for surgical procedure. Let Dr. Bano know insurance coverage denied. He suggested an appeal with insurance. Appeal paper work sent in for review. Dr. Bano then scheduled me for three additional appointments and testing. After appeal was denied again by insurance I contacted his office for advice and never heard back from them again . This was 6months ago. Very dissappointed.

Dr Joseph Banno should reduce his patient load for their health and well being. For months he neglected to address my on going urology issues. I have suffered in pain while his associates tried to help me. I hope he experiences the same neglect when he is in dyer need of treatment and in pain.

The most dishonest underhanded person I ever Met. I wish I could give him zero stars.

He is the most dishonest people I have ever met. Arrogant and abusive.

I had seen Dr. Banno for the first time years ago. Never had anymore problems until a couple years ago. I thought he was a pretty decent person but these days he is rude, arrogant and dishonest. I went in to have a Kidney Stone procedure in Day Surgery last year and the nurse was just finishing prepping me and asked her questions. She informs me that he is going to do a procedure that Dr. Banno and I didn't disgust and I did not approve. I asked to speak with him before the procedure. He came rushing in and shouting that nobody will ever tell him what he can and cannot do when he is in surgery. He threw a few big words around and basically said I don't care what happens to you. The nurses were shocked and apologized over and over. It wasn't their fault. Needless to say I asked for my clothes and walked out. Never will I ever return to his Clinic!

he does not listen when the family explains the testosterone RUINS relationships bc it turns these guys into TOTAL CREEPS!!! If he would have listened, that would have been acceptable, but he CONTINUED with the testosterone AGAINST pleadings to STOP. It is ONLY ABOUT HIM MAKING MONEY. DON"T GO TO BANNO.

Rude, arrogant and dishonest. my Father went to see him. Taking him somewhere else.

Went to see him on a referral from GP for low T. He did not take any time to discuss my case, rather, made assumptions from the questionnaire and then told me he could cure me from ED (which is only a problem about 20% of the time) and signed me up for all these invasive tests, without explanation. Bedside manner severely lacking. Tests and appointments cancelled and now looking for a new urologist.
