After detailed research I decided to have my prostrate removed. I was diagnosed with prostrate cancer by a different urology team. Based on my biopsy, age and overall health, it was clear I needed to have a radical prostatectomy. My wife and I had met with a surgeon who was part of a different group and were underwhelmed. My prior urologist who retired several years ago encouraged me to meet with Dr Wagner. Within minutes of our consultation, it was clear to my wife and I that Dr. Wagner was the best choice for my prostatectomy. He was well prepared for our consultation as he had reviewed my history and prior biopsies. Dr Wagner walked me through the process and answered all my questions. He did not pressure me in any way. His team is sensational. We were contacted by Susanne Carrier, the nurse navigator who provided the information we needed to prepare for pre-op and post-op. Susanne let us know that she was there to answer any questions that we would have navigating… this process. We were provided with a video presentation done by Kimberly Diamond. Kimberly’s presentation taught us how to prepare physically with kegel exercises, what supplies to buy for after the prostatectomy, what to expect in the hospital and what to expect post-surgery. After going through the prostatectomy, the video was spot on. It answered all of my questions ahead of time. I knew what to expect through the initial recovery. Nurse Paulo was very easy to communicate with and helpful to answer questions about pain management and medication not covered by insurance. I wrote this review 10 days post-surgery. I am doing remarkably well, and I am grateful to Dr. Wagner and his team for this.

I am 77 and had prostate cancer, and chose to have a prostatectomy instead of radiation treatments. Dr. Wagner performed the surgery and removed the lymph nodes. I thought Dr. Wagner had a friendly and professional bedside manner. He provided detailed information before the surgery, in the form of two different books. Plus, he had me attend a live webinar that was hosted by the nursing staff. They had a thorough step-by-step presentation regarding what to expect before, during and after surgery. They also included three people who had had prostatectomy surgery. They answered our questions. This was very helpful. I recovered my bladder control quickly. It is now five months since the surgery, and I am functioning normally.

Dr Wagner came highly recommended by my urologist in Mass. Two weeks after surgery I am feeling much better than I anticipated. My wife has years of experience as a med/surg nurse: she was really impressed by every aspect of my well being immediately after and for the entire two weeks. I only needed tylenol for pain management upon my discharge home the next morning. Was done with the tylenol 48hrs later. Overall, I can't say enough positive things about Dr Wagner; he's confident(but not arrogant), attentive, and experienced. Just the person I wanted on my team!

I wish I had the luck of all of his other patients, but my operation was a total disaster.
