Dr. Julianne Brackin, DO

Recently switched to this practice due to my former doctor not being comfortable managing my conditions. Dr Brackin told me that Fibromyalgia does not exist and that I had sleep apnea instead. I have been tested for everything under the sun and was on a controlled pain management plan which she was not willing to uphold or follow. I was also told that I needed to be reevaluated for my chronic migraines because I could not be having them that frequently (this is after having gotten them reduced to a manageable level under the care of a neurologist). When discussing medications, Dr. Brackin tried pushing a medication I have previously had a bad reaction too, even though I am happy with the medications I am on. Later in the appointment, Dr. Brackin asked some questions which were very poorly worded in regard to my mother's mental health (the review will not allow me to state exactly what it was). The overall appointment was very distressing, and I left feeling ignored and upset. The… entire appointment consisted of tearing apart my care plan (which I am happy with) when all I wanted was to discuss accommodation documentation for my employer.

Based on my personal experiences, I have been a patient of Dr. Brackin for over 15 years. What I love about her is her attention to detail and listening skills. She takes the time to ask questions to see if there are any other problems I am experiencing before diving into the reason for my visit, diligently taking notes about our conversation and what she needs to investigate further. She doesn’t hesitate to reach out to colleagues or specialists and has always followed up with answers or next steps. She understands my health far better than I do, and I’m someone who really focuses on my health and pays attention to all signs and symptoms. Bottom line, Dr. Brackin is very kind and truly cares about her patients. If you’re looking for an excellent PCP, I highly recommend Dr. Brackin and Stella Primary Care. Tony J.

This visit was to have some shoulder pain checked out as well as find a primary care provider. Dr. Brackin and all the staff were very welcoming and I felt at ease from the moment I walked into the office. Everyone was extremely thorough from check-in, covering my past medical history, and assessing my shoulder issue. I felt the care I received was exceptional as were the people I met. I am very happy with my first experience with Dr. Brackin and her staff and would definitely recommend them to others.

She is a excellent Doctor. She takes the time to listen to what is going on with you and has been able to offer the corrections/meds needed and I find her very supportive. 6 years ago I went to her because I kept falling-she thought it might be Parkinson’s but ordered an MRI for my neck and brain. The afternoon after the MRI she had already contacted a spine surgeon who called me that afternoon! I feel like her quick actions, as well as contacting an awesome surgeon (Dr Gabriel) saved me from being paralyzed! The MRI was Thursday, I saw Dr Gabriel Friday morning and was admitted to Grant Medical Center, then had emergency surgery Saturday morning! Thank you, Dr Brackin!!

I've been a patient of Dr. Brackin's for over 10 years. In that time she's earned my complete trust and confidence. During visits I never feel rushed. She takes whatever time is needed to understand how I'm doing - physically and mentally - and addresses any questions, concerns, or complaints I have. I've been very satisfied by her recommended courses of treatment based on consistently positive outcomes. She's compassionate, knowledgeable, thorough, and proactive. I've read some complaints about office wait times, etc. and I've experienced those things as well. But in the end I want the best care possible and I feel I have that with Dr. Brackin.

I have been a patient of Dr Brackin for almost 16 years and with her quick diagnosis of me in 2012 for Ovarian Cancer I feel she helped save my life. I not only consider her a great doctor but also a friend.
