Dr. Kara J Pepper

Dr. Pepper offers every aspect of care that a patient would hope for. She is thorough in her examination (during annual physicals), she is attentive and encouraging, and she replies promptly each time I have a problem (strep, coughing, etc.). She guides me in making choices that improve my quality of life (for example: limiting gluten, eating more fruits and vegetables, and drinking more water).

I have only been to see Dr. Pepper for one initial visit and will leave another review if things change. But she was so thorough and spent at least 20 minutes with me. She also responded back and forth promptly thru the Laureate system when I had some questions about my physical results. I saw her at the midtown location because she wasn't seeing new patients in Sandy Springs. She did say that office is kinda crazy and to keep coming to Midtown if I could.

I did not realize what a horror the Laureate Group was until I secured a new Dr with the Emory group. Laureate operates as a factory farm and Dr. Kara Pepper does not function well in this environment. To say the least, she is a flake. There is NO follow up or continuity of care.

Dr. Pepper is, without a doubt, the best doctor that I have ever had in my 54 years of life. Her work ethic and beside manner is impeccable. She has saved my physical life and was a pure inspiration as I went through my ordeals. I thank God for Dr. Pepper everyday!

Great diagnostic ability

Dr. Pepper is great. I would highly recommend her to anyone. She has great bedside manner. I always feel like she genuinely cares and that is unfortunately not always the case with doctors. She has even personally called me a few times to check to see how I am doing on new medications. Her nurse is wonderful as well. I am always surprised at how fast she gets back to me when I call with a question. It took a while to get an initial appointment with her (which I take as a good sign), but once I became an established patient I always got in in a reasonable time.

The best physician I have ever had in my 60+ years!

When I changed medical insurance companies and had to select a new GP, I chose Dr. Pepper for my first appointment, fully expecting that I would go through a few doctors before finding the right one for me. I have not seen another doctor since. In just the first visit, Pepper correctly diagnosed two long-standing conditions that had been misdiagnosed and treated for over a decade. The affect this has had on my quality of life can not be put into words. This is a doctor who genuinely cares, and actually LISTENS to patients. When trying me on a new medication, she called to check up on me every few days, and even after I had had time to get used to the medication, she still kept calling about once a month just to make sure I was doing alright. This is what a doctor is supposed to be. She is priceless.

I changed my PCP to Dr. Pepper after getting a very apathetic physician initially who didn't much seem to care about some serious health conditions I was experiencing. I couldn't have made a better choice!!Dr. Pepper has always been very thorough, very diligent with follow-up/coordinating with other specialists (even those out of state), and has gone the extra mile when it comes to caring about me as a patient. She is an extremely RARE commodity in her profession, and I would recommend her to anyone!

During a visit to the office,I explained that I needed a new internist, but I had some concerns. I needed someone that would take a little time and listen, in addition to treating me. As a nurse of 30+ years, I know how medical practices can be at times. Dr. Pepper was an absolute joy. She is delightful and knowledgable. She's was just what I needed.
