Dr. Kenneth J. Weintraub, MD

He is so convinced that the reason that I have one swollen joint makes no sense. Why would one joint swell so much and the others don’t even though they have arthritis as well? Why is one huge lump on the finger supposedly the bone when the other bones protrude even more but no swelling? I am left with more questions and answers.Because I had found fault with him I received snippy treatment. We’re not in grade school.

Superb surgeon, I’ll take the supposedly abrasive personality (I did not feel this way) with his excellent skill set any day.

I saw Dr. Weintraub this morning about my knee pain. He reviewed my medical records, asked some standard questions and then performed an examination. After that, we had a very good conversation about my condition. I could tell he was extremely knowledgeable about my condition and the potential treatments. I asked questions (including some dumb ones) and he responded in a very professional manner. At the end, we both decided that arthroscopic surgery would be the best solution. Overall, I felt the visit was excellent and I look forward to my next encounter with Dr. Weintraub.

Dr. Weintraub was outstanding, he made sure I understood what was wrong and how he was planning on making the needed repairs. My 13 year old daughter was scared and in pain, he was able to reassure her that things would be better after the surgery. The next day she said she really liked the doctor and he was right.

At my first appt w/Dr. Weintraub was years ago. I misunderstood his lack of 'chatty-ness' for disapproval or coldness. The exam went well and he gave me a cortisol shot in my shoulder, which helped a lot. The next time I saw him, he talked, I talked, and he was very comforting. He even held my hand while explaining what was going on with my shoulder. He put me at ease. I've been seeing him for at nearly 10 years now, and 3 years ago, he successfully ground all the calcium deposits that were cradled inside my shoulder bones, a very tricky surgery. He oversaw my recovery and I healed in record time, using my arm within 2 days! I would HIGHLY recommend him. He is the type of conservative doctor my mom (a nurse) would want me to see.

Excellent communicator and surgeon

Dr Weintraub is the most unpleasant doctor I've ever met. He talks too fast, gets snippy when he has to repeat something. I felt like he was uninterested in my condition and rushed me through the appointment. If he were 8 years-old, I'd call him a little 'brat'.

He was extremely patient. Very understanding.

Absolutely NO complaints. Professional, Courteous, Explained MRI & X-ray results in detail. Offered options for care and respected my decision.

My advice is to avoid fracturing your ankle. But if you cannot avoid it, my advice is to call Dr. Weintraub. His skills and competence were responsible for my pain-free convalescence and perfect recovery. Bravo, Dr. Weintraub!
