Dr. Malini Sharma, MD

I would never recommend Dr. Sharma as a primary care provider. She has zero empathy for her patients and is a very cold person. She does not communicate effectively and did not contact me when I had abnormal test results. I switched doctors and my health has improved dramatically. I only wish I did it sooner.

I was a patient of Dr. Malini Sharma for many years (over 12 years). She is very clinical and hands off. She does not have a bed side manner at all and I cannot recommend her to anyone dealing with emotional, mental health, or coping with serious diseases (such as cancer). It wasn't until I left my prior job and went to work for a hospital (BMC) and worked with health care providers who truly cared about their patients and made conscious efforts to connect with them. I can remember dealing with a close family member having cancer and seeing Dr. Sharma to discuss my anxiety regarding the matter. I was crying in her office and she told me, "I am not a psychiatrist, I don't know why you're getting upset now. I cannot help you.". It was embarrassing and I never wanted to go back. I have shared that experience with my new PCP and she was shocked. She encouraged me to write a letter and/or let the practice know. I'd rather let people know here. They can make their own… minds up regarding her care.
