Dr. Marci L Troxell, DO

I had Dr. Troxell perform an EMG on me almost a year ago. She did not prepare a report for my other doctors to review while trying to diagnose my condition. This made the test absolutely useless as my doctors did not have it available for my visits. I told her staff I would not pay my bill until the report was available. 11 months later she prepared the report and sent it out to my doctors and turned me over to a collection agency that is now robocalling my cell phone every 15 minutes like clockwork. Once again, she is charging me for work that was totally useless because she did not prepare a report until after my other doctor appointments.

Dr. Troxell is a wonderful doctor and although they are nice, the staff is totally clueless. I've been seeing Dr. Troxell for over a year and not once did scheduling, prescriptions, or procedures get done unless I called them several times. When I was started on MS medication, the staff were to get that process started, according to Dr. Troxell. This medication would come from a specialty pharmacy and the staff consistently gave incorrect information and didn't follow through on the process. It took too long to start that important medication because of staff errors. For every process, Dr. Troxell would say her staff will call the next day to schedule something. I typically waited three days, and then called them myself and they always seemed surprised when they found the orders from the doctor. The cost of each visit is too high for this kind of service. Having to call the staff back for every little thing is too much of a headache. Not worth it.

Would never recommend because of such poor service. Should not even be in business.

The doctor is not actually all that bad. I have to be honest in that department there was a small miss diagnosis for a year however, we got that all worked out.. Now on to the staff.. They are RUDE and INCONSIDERATE to the patients needs They have ZERO understanding and compassion... if she was with another staff i would stick with her unfortunately because of her staff she will not get my hard earned money.. its a sad sad office.. sad..

Dr. M. Troxell has been a wonderful Neurologist! She spends time with her patients, asks a lot of questions, listens intently. She tries very hard to figure out what is happening with me. I have been seeing her for almost 3 years and have had great results with her.

Dr. Troxell charged me around $17,000.00 for a simple test, the whole thing taking maybe 45 minutes. I called all around Anchorage and the prevailing rate for this test was about $1,600, in other words 10 percent of what she charged. If you go see her, make an appt to have your head examined.Her office staff is rude beyond belief. Turns out they have a reputation all over Anchorage for being EXTREMELY expensive, and the office staff is the worst I've ever encountered in my life. I am NOT exaggerating one iota. My insurance company has been trying to talk w them for months---they refuse to call back.

I would recommend her to anyone, she the best Dr that my husband have, she is caring about her patient needs and concern.

Really caring doctor that understood my special needs.
