My daughter started seeing Dr. Albanese at 4 months of age, and she has been instrumental in diagnosing the rare condition our daughter has. She always asks about all aspects of our daughter's medical situation (which includes 7 different specialists!), not just the orthopedic problems. She goes above and beyond by consulting with other orthopedists and physical therapists to figure out the best approach for a rare and difficult to treat disorder. She is always kind and professional, and patient with answering even the stupidest questions.

Dr. Albanese seriously misdiagnosed a serious knee injury in a 15 year old female patient that resulted in significant knee damage and required reconstructive surgery five years later.Patient presented with extreme knee pain, swelling, and joint locking after fall while running. Doctor ordered only an X-ray despite being asked several times if an MRI was a good idea. Doctor told patient that the kneecap likely slid out of place and back into place, damaging the tissues underneath. Patient expressed extreme amounts of pain and difficulty walking, doctor told the patient that the amount of pain she was complaining about was not consistent with the injury and prescribed physical therapy, which did not help the knee.Five years later, patient is experiencing extreme pain and swelling with knee locking and giving out several times a week. Seen by another doctor who immediately ordered an MRI, which indicated that the patella (kneecap) was out of place for the last five years and was… resting on top of bone, which were grinding against each other, making pits in both bones. MCL was also torn and healed incorrectly, which was not even addressed by Albanese. Patient required surgery to slice the MCL and restitch it properly and to scrape away damaged bone and replace kneecap. Patient was informed that because the kneecap was out of place and MCL was torn and healed incorrectly for so long, knee could only be rehabbed to 80% functionality.Patient continues to experience knee swelling and pain and now walks with slight limp.Avoid Albanese if you have any other option.

I had a work related injury my first one in over 32 years as a nurse. I was refered to Dr Albanese by the Emergency room. I found her to be very rude and she treated me like a second class citizen because I was hurt at work. Her staff was just as rude as her! I was called in after everyone else in the waiting room! She would not explain anything to me and she made me return to work with a fractured hand full duty after 4 days out of work! She acted like I was an inconvenience! I will never go to her for anything again. My first visit she told me your an RN you don`t do anything at work any way! My last visit she told me not to come back if I had probelms!
