Dr. Mark James Boerner, MD

I had a lower lid blepharoplasty at Idaho Eyelid and Facial Plastic Surgery. I am very happy with the level of skill and care Dr. Boerner provided me. A number of other physicians have tried to address my functional lower eyelid issues to no avail. I am very happy with the result and would refer patients to this clinic. Definitely five starts!

I had a bump on my eyelid that turned out to be cancer. Dr. Hollingshead referred me to Idaho Eyelid and Facial Plastic Surgery. Dr. Boerner was very professional and the office staff is great. Definitely five star experience!

I am a family practice physician in McCall. Dr.Boerner is an amazing oculofacial surgeon! I had horrible lacerations next to my eye and on my forehead years ago. He fixed my lacerations on a Friday afternoon when he was supposed to be off, and no one can even tell I had an injury (and it kept my forehead from wrinkling for several years on that side). My mother in law had eyelid surgery to fix her upper eyelids that were impeding her vision, and he did an amazing job. I would send all of my family members to him for any facial work needed. I have also referred several trauma patients to Dr. Boerner and he has always been very helpful, even in the middle of the night. I went to Idaho Eyelid and Facial Plastic Surgery where Dr. Boerner performed surgery on the side of my face to remove a potentially cancerous lesion. His process from start to finish was highly professional but at the same time personal and sensitive to the psychological and emotion gravity of possible malignancy and the prospect that it could turn out to have metastasized, resulting in a potential death sentence. He showed the right balance of care, honesty, and forthrightness that gave me the stamina I needed as I waited for the lab results that would determine my fate. Dr. Boerner was nearly as happy to give me my results as I was to hear them—that I have a long life ahead of me. I also must give kudos to his surgical assistant, Heather. She was so sensitive and supportive through the entire procedure, and gave me the empowering post-operative hug that I needed to send me on my way with confidence. Today, there is no scar, facially or emotionally! This dynamic duo has earned… my highest praise and appreciation. Bravo!

35 minutes ago-Edit I receive Botox injections at Idaho Eyelid and Facial Plastic Surgery. Dr. Boerner and Heather Anderson have both injecting me, and they always do a great job! I feel very fortunate to visit both a trained physician and a cosmetic injector with so many years of experience. They always get it right. Even my husband thinks I look better! ;)

The surgery wasn’t painful, and the only part I didn’t like was the black eyes during the healing process. With Dr. Boerner, you know you are in good hands. He is an excellent doctor who cares. I was completely comfortable and confident with him, because of his experience and skills and his depth of knowledge of the eyes and structure of the face. And very importantly to me, he genuinely is interested in what you have to say and takes the time to listen. I highly recommend him.

Dr Boerner is amazing at what he does. He runs on time and is able to give fantastic results. I would recommend him highly to anyone for opthamology and plastic surgery!

Take the pickiest most demanding patient and multiply it by 10...yes, that would be me! I had some procedures in California before moving to Boise. I internalized the treatment I received by the CA surgeon, who was aloof, rushed most of the time and curt all of the time, leading me to believe it was me and my persistent questioning style all along. His office staff was dismissive and inattentive during my recovery. When in pain, I contacted the office and was told someone would get back to me. After 5 hours, I had to call again, wait on hold and be treated like an impatient child. When I indicated I wanted to do a followup visit, a local friend recommended Dr. Boerner. From the beginning, the treatment and care provided was vastly different! His office staff is very pleasant and went above and beyond to accommodate my crazy work travel schedule. When I arrived, I was met and greeted by everyone, even when they were just walking through the office! Dr. Boerner was kind and… listened very intently to my concerns. We chatted bout my lifestyle, interests and what I wanted the outcome to be. He was realistic, frank and compassionate at the same time.The comfort level I felt was unexpected and beyond positive--it was like we were in my living room, not some cold, sterile medical environment! After my procedure, his staff called the next morning to see how I was doing! In today's world, who does that? At the most, I expected an email and lack of personal attentiveness! The followup visits were great and the great treatment one gets can be depended on. I would recommend Dr. Boerner for any treatment, surgery and ophthalmology in a heartbeat.
