He is retired now, and that is the best thing he ever did for his patients. I only leave one store because Zero is not an option.

He ignored my symptoms for 4 1/2 years & I decided to find a new Dr. Before I could find one, I was hospitalized for another illness and listed "no doctor". My assigned Dr ordered a GI consult because I'd lost 50 lbs in the past year, without dieting (symptoms he ignored). Consultant diagnosed problem, had outpatient surgery and no problems since. However, Kallus kept throwing meds at me, instead of referring me to specialist, and as a result, I now have osteoporosis & ankle fracture. He is slovenly, unkempt and his exam is inadequate.

sends you out the door (see you in 6 months) if you live that long, NO call if you have complications, or falling or have stroke signs. Not the same doctor since unethical hiring wife as office manager who talks to you like you're retarded, no people skills and micromanages the doctors moves when in with female patients, you can see her watching, unhealthy for all involved. I can't see why she needed in there, keep the big bucks in the family, and not promote the ones that keep the office running smoothly, talk to her on the phone and repeats like a parrot, not impressive at all. someone trying to be important with no compassion for patients.

His office waited a month before revealing there was an enlarged spot on Mom's lung. He was very hard for the family to work with. We waited for hours in the hospital room for him because he refused to return phone calls. He compared mom to an old truck that one wouldn't want to sink a lot of money into. There were also other physical issues with mom that were not revealed to us until we took her to another facility. Terrible bedside manner. Don't go there if you are elderly.

This man is lacking in many ways

If you want a doctor who will take the time and really listen to you this is your man. He succeeded in diagnosing me when so many others, including UM Ann Arbor Hospital Failed. You have to wait (because he takes the time needed with each patient), but the wait is worth it. Finally, a doctor worried more about the patient and less about making money!

He cares and tries very hard to give you choices in the treatments for different conditions.

Besides having an extended waiting time, every time, unless ones appointment is at 11:30 so he'll see you right away to be able to go to lunch on time. He is extremely passive in his practice manners and IMO could be more assertive in his treatment of both waiting times and with treating his patients.
