A thorough, caring, compassionate Dr who really listens to his patients. I highly reccommend him.

I have to say I am shocked at the reviews of Dr. Ritch. I have been seeing him for my neurological needs since 1990s. The comments about his personality are insignificant and irrelevant. He is very capable. He isn't there to entertain you. Saying that, he took time to listen to my problem years ago and was quite blunt, yes, but it kept me from having a stroke and ending up in a ward drooling. Any minor problem I had I addressed with him and he adjusted my medication so meticulously until it was perfect. Do you want a friend or a doctor? I myself prefer a doctor and Dr. Ritch is outstanding at his job.

He was the neurologist assigned to my stepbrother at Largo med following a major heart attack. He refused to give our family an EEG, to say he had no bedside manner is putting it nicely. If he spoke to family members or friends he did it in a very rude and condescending way. He most often only spoke to his interns, and refused to speak to anyone else in the room. If you're looking for a neurologist that's going to actually listen to you and address your concerns keep looking. How any hospital or insurer would want to be associated with him is beyond me.

He is nothing but an ambulance chaser. We visited him once and never went back. All of the bad reviews are very accurate-terrible personality, no real interest in patient, and inaccurate diagnoses-probably because he really does not care. I knew the family of Dr. Wilder Penfield, one of the founding fathers of modern neurology and I can tell you that this guy is an embarrassment to his profession. I highly recommend Dr. Erasmo Passaro who is a genius in the field.

Arrogant. Condescending. Rude. Dismissive. Was seen by him at the hospital. Did not listen to my symptoms, my medical history or pertinent family history. Ridiculed me in front of students. Did not answer questions. Uncaring and dismissive. Do not feel confident with diagnosis as it doesn’t fit my symptoms. Barely an exam. Felt unimportant and a chore to be dealt with. He was disconnected and “absent” during his visit. Other than to ridicule and belittle. Do not allow yourself to be in his care. Ask for a different neurologist on staff. He is horrible.

I was assigned this doctor at Largo Medical Center for a freak episode I had that felt like an ice pick being jammed into my head for an hour and a half non-stop, rendering me unable to do anything but scream and cry. My extremities and the left side of my face went numb and I was unable to move my arms or legs for hours. He attempted to do a spinal tap on me while I was awake in the hospital room. After causing me excruciating pain, he told me it was unsuccessful and he needed to do it again. I refused and said I would need to be knocked out, but thankfully it didn't happen. Reading these reviews, I am not surprised at all. He was rude and dismissive. They do not know what happened because they didn't see it themselves, so they try to say it was a migraine. That was NO MIGRAINE.

Vitals and other sites have the wrong address and other contact info. It's hard to know if the comments are directed at the correct doctor!

Dr. Ritch is an excellent Dr. who successfully diagnosed and treated my husband when none of the other doctors could figure out what was going on. If you want the correct diagnosis I highly recommend him.

I have seen several doctors in search of treatment for chronic migraines. Dr. Ritch was the worst! He was dismissive and uncaring. His office staff were unprofessional. I wasted my time and money at this office.
