Dr Matthew Ammerman was born and raised in the Washington DC area. He attended Emory University for his undergraduate degree and completed his medical education at the George Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Ammerman completed his neurosurgical training at George Washington University and his spine fellowship at the University of Tennessee with an emphasis on minimally invasive treatments for spinal disease. Dr. Ammerman serves as clinical assistant professor at the George Washington University School of Medicine. Both Dr. Joshua and Matthew Ammerman supervise the monthly journal club for the neurosurgical residents at the George Washington University.
