Dr. Niren was a miracle worker for me! I had to spend 3 days in AGH because of cellulitis from an supposed spider bite. While there, I saw multiple different internists in the hospital, the infectious disease doctors, and even my own PCP. Besides prescriptions for antibiotics, I was basically sent home with little to no info on how to care for my wound/infection and looking worse than when I came in. Thankfully, a doctor friend told us about Dr. Niren and he personally said to come see him first thing the next morning! I was shocked because it usually takes months to get into a dermatologist! Honestly, I was skeptical that he could do anything different than the multiple other doctors I had already seen. I was willing to try anything though and I am beyond thankful that I found him! Within 12 hours of my initial appointment with Dr. Niren, there was obvious and significant improvement in my wound/infection! It was the first time in almost 10 days of the whole ordeal. I then… saw Dr. Niren several other times for my follow up appointments and he was always thorough and adjusted my treatment plans according to how my wound was responding. Had I not found Dr. Niren, I can't imagine how long it would have taken for my wound to heal and I fear that I would have ended up back in the hospital because it was continuously getting worse until I found him. He's truly not your average dermatologist; he's so much more! I already have and will continue to recommend Dr. Niren to anyone in need of a skilled and brilliant medical expert.

Dr. Niren is one of the most brilliant men I have ever met and even though he is so intelligent he always listens to my concerns and talks me through my options and what he feels is best. I always leave his office looking better and knowing I am in the best hands. I also think is staff is so kind and cheerful. Normally going to the doctors is not a pleasant experience but going to see Dr. Niren and his team is always GREAT!

Dr. Niren takes time with you to talk about your condition. He explains the treatment clearly and the staff makes sure you understand. Would highly recommend!

This doctor is rude and spent very little time with me. He did not want to answer questions and put me down in every way possible. I did go back for a second visit and he had forgotten to tell me what he said to do the first time. During that first visit, he had said this is probably a burn, fill this prescription, and if the rash isn't gone in 7 weeks, I'll do a biopsy. After getting the biopsy, he said it hadn't been needed and blamed my primary doctor who only suggested that I see a dermatologist because the rash had been there for eight weeks. I am now being treated for possible Lyme disease and hurt everywhere. I was warned not to go to this doctor but didn't listen--I wish I had. He is brash and non-communicative, unless he is shouting to get his opinions heard above everyone else.

I was looking for a doctor around the north hills that took my insurance. I was somewhat skeptical about Dr Niren because - compared to other derms around me - he had many, many more reviews than anyone else - which was a flag for me. However I needed to see a derm fast so I went to him. My initial impressions weren't great: cheap office building, cheap notebook to sign in. When being taken back to the exam room I took a informational pamphlet off of the wall that I was interested in and to my astonishment I was reprimanded by a nurse that I couldn't have what I'd taken. I looked at her, back at the pamphlet and then she said 'Oh you can have that one." Bizarre. My expectations for the doctor were not high at that point. After waiting another 12 minutes in the room the doctor came in. He was very straightforward - finding a several precancerous lesions on my body (including the one that I'd come in for). He then sat down in a chair & talked with me for 5-6 minutes about a… couple of other health issues I was having. He wasn't rushed & took a very real interest in trying to convey to me my options on a few matters - related to medicine but not derm. Overall his interest in my health & his bedside manner were miles better than the average doctor. I left feeling very good about the man & won't hesitate to go back to him - even if the staff wasn't particularly inviting.

Dr Niren is very professional and highly intelligent with a vast knowledge of Dermatology conditions. I would highly recommend his practice!

During my visits to Neil Niren MD I always felt being welcomed by a professional doctor who is excellent in making his patients feel comfortable. Dr Neil Niren made visiting physician's practice be as pleasant and convenient as it can get. My experience shows that he is always working around patient's schedule, because even in occasions when I was calling at the last minute to make an appointment he was always finding a way to meet my needs. All I can say is that Neil Niren MD is prompt, caring and knowledgeable, always takes the time to listen to you and address your concerns, offering professional treatments.
