Dr. Patrick Joseph Shanahan, MD

Dr. Shanahan was my family physician for the 20 years I lived near Chestertown. He made me comfortable from the first minute we met. He was always patient to provide clear answers to my questions. His examination method is very thorough. He provides lots of feedback during each visit. Dr. Shanahan recognizes when the evaluation of another physician/specialist will improve the diagnosis and provide feedback to the total treatment plan. I am saddened to, after moving away, to no longer have Dr. Shanahan as my primary physician. He does still return my calls for advice and his opinion. Thank You Dr. Shanahan for 20 years of outstanding service.

After seeing him for 5 years, I continue to appreciate his superior medical knowledge (academic, experiential and current developments). I'm always comforted by his sound decisons that are focused on patient well being while not bound to current trends in the medical profession. He has always been courteous, professional and caring to all members of my family, especially the little ones. We just moved hours away and wish we could take him with us!

Dr. Shanahan is a wonderful doctor who spends time with each patient to provide the highest quality of care possible. The other doctors in the practice and great as well.
