Dr. Ralph Bernard Hester III, MD

The office is run like a processing plant. If you need to leave due to long wait times during an appointment then do not expect to reschedule. Dr. Hester will not see you ever again. The Doctor had performed surgery on my right eye and I was preparing for my left eye. The waiting room is packed and during Covid-19 made me uncomfortable. I do not recommend this practice.

I had my appointment in my calendar as 1450. I work and have to take the whole afternoon off due to my eyes being dilated. When I got to my appointment at 1440 I was told I was supposed to be there at 1400 for some test and then my appointment with Dr Hester was at 1435. I have been a patient for over 10 years and have not been late for any appointments and have always called if I had to change an appointment. I was told they could go ahead and do the test but I would have to reschedule for the doctor. I have sat in this waiting room on many occasions waiting 30 to 45 minutes after my appointment time before seeing this doctor. I will have to take another afternoon off in order to make this new appointment. I cannot believe I could not see him. My time is just as important as his time. I guess their is no real reason to be a loyal consumer these days. Very disappointed in this situation. AA.

I have been seeing Dr Hester for about 20 years. He has carefully watched my vision, since I do have issues from my Graves Disease. He also sent me to a excellent doctor to do my glaucoma surgery since the drops he was using stop working. Excellent monitory of my eyes.

I paid for extra tests and services. NOT WORTH IT.

I was browsing the internet for the best top rated Ophthalmologist in Oklahoma City and found Dr. Ralph Hester with Dean McGee Institute. Blepharoplasty was performed last week and I'm very pleased with the results. I would highly recommend Dr. Hester.

Dr. Hester was kind and clear when he told me I needed surgery. The process was very good - easy without stress or angst. He has continued to be friendly, supportive, and encouraging to me.

So happy with my results! I felt very well cared for during the whole process. When I did have a concern over the weekend following surgery, Dr. Hester returned my call within 15 minutes. He gave me a suggestion that cleared up my problem immediately. During my visits and during surgery Dr. Hester thoroughly answered any questions that I had.

Dr. Hester is a very excellent doctor. He is thorough and extremely competent. He is a caring physician and he has given me excellent care.

I was in to have my vision checked and was pleasantly surprised when I arrived an hour early and was treated early as well. It was a pleasant visit.

I have been very pleased with the care I have received not only in the office but with my cataract surgeries. Dr. Hester was very compassionate and professional - would definitely recommend him.
