Dr. Robert Alan Goldberg, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Goldberg for twenty years for fillers and he is the best there is. He is soft spoken and has class and integrity. Not pushy and boastful because he doesn't need to be. He is the only one I trust with my eyes.

I paid $400 cash to see Robert Goldberg. It was hands-down the single worst experience I've had with a doctor in my entire life. He was condescending and patronizing and told me that my blurred vision was due to "stress." I have multiple reports from a reputable eye retina specialist that indicate that I have cysts in my vitreous induced from inflammation (uveitis diagnosis). Goldberg refused to even look at the reports. Hello I had a series of steroid needle injections into my eye. Do you think a Retina Specialist would do this just for recreational purposes? I needed medical attention and all I received was a bad attitude. Goldberg is one of those pompous and arrogant doctors who thinks he knows everything and refuses to believe the patient. Avoid him like the plague! 7 months later and my vision is still not back to normal.

Dr. Goldberg saw me immediately, was very friendly to me and my husband and more importantly saved me from scheduled surgery. He gently and painlessly removed the growth on the spot and sent me home. Highly recommend! Great doctor, great experience, nice guy. G. Nelson

No words can express how amazing Dr. Goldberg was at not only restoring my eyes sight (I had double vision prior) but also restoring the look of my eyes (Grave's disease protrusion). It has been over a decade and I have not had any recurrence of my previous issues of eye pressure, double vision, or protrusion from Graves' disease. My eyes were restored to normal and look the same as they did before the progression of Greave's disease in my eyes. Anyone with the illness will know what I mean when they read this. It was such a relief to visually look like myself again as well as have the pressure removed from my eyes which caused pain, pressure, double vision, and protrusion. The protrusion of my eyes (bulging) made it hard for me to even close my eyes completely thus drying out my eyes which also caused more problems. So now that is over because of Dr. Goldberg after suregery. I trust him implicitly. He is also a wonderful and understanding doctor who listens to my questions and… needs. I appreciate that and will always recommend him to others because a lot of people do not know what help orbital decompression can be especially with an amazing doctor. Dr. Goldberg is a God Send. Orbital decompression is considered medically necessary by insurance if you have Grave's Disease including: pressure and some of the eye issues I mentioned above. You'll have to meet with Dr. Goldberg and/or someone else who also does this procedure to find out more. I would not hesitate to run to Dr. Goldberg. It's been a decade, so who knows long he'll be around before retiring and I cannot recommend anyone else as he is the only one I've gone to. If you go elsewhere please do your due diligence no matter what and know that you can use the words "orbital decompression" when researching doctors because you want someone who is willing to do the procedure to help save your eyes instead of just the usual "observation" which some doctors will due that can lead to other complications possibly especially if you have quick progression of eye disease as I did. Procrastinating can cause loss of eye sight in Grave's disease and/or other complication so please don't wait around. I am telling you this because I understand the anxiety of choosing someone to trust to take care of our eyes. Our eyes are a precious commodity and of course no one wants to lose their eye sight but also, when someone works on our eyes, we want to make certain to avoid visual scarring, etc and have true restoration of eye "look" so that we look normal again. Trust with this doctor that is entirely possible.

This surgeon is rude, arrigant, condescending and untrustworthy. He said fillers were bad and then proceeded to try and sell an injection to me. My needs were not to be fixed so easily. I had nerve damage. This surgeon was treated by someone I met. Her outcome was poor.

Dr. Goldberg analyzed my tearing eye problem with good suggestions. He took his time and didn't rush me out the door like most doctors do. I recommend him highly.

Nicest,most compassionate doctor who cares. He did a beautiful job on my eye. I will always come back to California just to see him . A doctor that you can trust. I traveled from Texas and it was worth it.

I was referred to Dr. Goldberg while I was visiting L.A. and developed a nasty eye infection. I have chronic eye problems so needed to have great confidence in the doctor who saw me. Dr. Goldberg responded to an e-mail I sent to his university e-mail address and arranged to see me the next day. He showed interest in me as a person, and spent a great deal of time with me, asking a lot of questions about my history and performing a very thorough exam. He was really careful about determining whether the infection was affecting a blocked tear duct I have. He explained his diagnosis and invited me to contact his practice if I didn't improve quickly. I highly recommend Dr. Goldberg - a super-qualified, attentive, caring doctor.

I had a very rare condition called Silent Sinus Syndrome (SSS) in which the bone under the eye erodes leading to double vision. Dr. Goldberg not only had treated SSS, but he had innovated the surgery. Two doctors, an ENT and Dr. Goldberg & team reconstruct the sinus and the orbital bone in just one surgery. A few weeks after surgery, the double vision was totally cured. Dr. Goldberg is a miracle worker and a genius surgeon. It takes an artist to reconstruct the face. It takes a genius to innovate new procedures. Simply, Dr. Goldberg save my sight. He and his team are brilliant and could not possibly be more highly recommended.

Dr. Goldberg and his staff are absolute professionals. I trust them completely. After serious facial trauma that almost cost me my eyesight, Dr. Goldberg took charge of a situation that other doctors at other hospitals literally had no idea what to do with. It was bad. But Dr. Goldberg made every step of the way incredible in his degree of surety and skill, to perform an incredible surgery. I will be thankful forever to him and his staff for saving my eyesight from what could have been a tremendously worse situation. Thank you!!!!
