Dr. Robert Bahr, a board certified ophthalmologist, specializes in glaucoma, cataracts, and diseases of the anterior segment, or front portion of the eye. He is currently Chief of the Division of Ophthalmology at Miriam Hospital, Associate Surgeon at Rhode Island Hospital, a consultant at Butler Hospital, and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University. Previously, Dr. Bahr served as a full-time faculty member at Yale Medical School and Yale-New Haven Hospital. He has co-authored a number of medical publications and was the first ophthalmic surgeon in New Haven, CT and Providence, RI to implant an intraocular lens during cataract surgery. Dr. Bahr graduated magna cum laude from Williams College and received his medical degree at Harvard Medical School. He completed his internship at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York and his residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
