Dr. Ruth Shawn Swanay-Tomita, MD

I have had all positive experiences with Dr. Tomita and have been seeing her for many years. She is not only extremely knowledgeable in her field, but she also takes the time to really listen to my concerns and follows through with what she says she’ll do. She treats me like a person and not just a diagnosis. I would recommend her care to everyone.

She was so wonderful. I have hospitals and she made me feel at ease and kept me informed about everything. Thanks so much!

Constantly late to scheduled appointments, overly chatty about non-medical issues and unrelated concerns. Doesn't provide complete information or explain what is going on. Never followed up after tests went well. We always left feeling confused and 'flurried', and wondering why we were spending money. Adjacent nurses were great, but this does not make up for interactions with this MD. We struggled through our appointments and thought this was the norm until we had a different OBGYN and realized she was under-serving our needs.

45 MINUTES TO 60 MINUTES WAIT EACH TIME i GO THERE.

I have seen a lot of Doctors as we have moved a lot. Dr Tomita is wonderful. She makes you feel comfortable, is very kind and is sincerely concerned about the well being and happiness of her patients. Dr. Tomita is one of the very best!!!

She always made me feel so comfortable, both her and her staff. She answered any of my questions fully and in ways I could understand the situations better. If I were to get pregnant again she will be my doctor again.

She is worth the wait. I have had to wait some times 30 minutes to get in with her...sometimes much less. But she takes the time with you....that is why you wait...she takes the time with the patient before you. She treats you like you are her only patient. She is smart and incredibly caring, as is her wonderful nurse. I had her my whole pregnancy and delivered my baby and listened intently when I was going through Post Pardom. She is very knowledgable about her practice.

Dr. Tomita is such an intelligent and caring doctor. She has made me feel comfortable in uncomfortable situations. I have referred several friends to her because of her warmth and true understanding of what a woman goes through.
