I saw Dr. Hennigan at their Green Bay office. This was super convenient for me as I live in Sturgeon Bay. I was immediately greeted by Wayne, who does the reception duties there. Wayne was so helpful and pleasant! I had only a brief wait which gave me a chance to use their ladies room and then was accompanied back to the comfortable, clean, exam room where my medications and medical history was reviewed by the medical assistant/nurse who was also very nice. At no time did I feel rushed. Dr. Hennigan came in and greeted me warmly. I do have a history with him as he replaced my shoulder (reverse replacement) some years ago. Prior to that, he repaired a torn rotator cuff. The replacement worked out well with minimal pain or discomfort. Currently, I can do anything I was able to do when I was 25 years old! I am so thankful. I am visiting Dr. Hennigan now as I have a painful elbow and after X-rays, it looks like I have a spur on the elbow and after a thorough exam by Dr. Hennigan,… bursitis of the elbow. We reviewed the radiographs together and since I had already tried a cortisone injection that only worked for 2 weeks, decided to to do a minimally invasive procedure at Woodland Surgery Center to smooth down the spur and remove the inflamed bursa. This procedure will help when bending my elbow and doing my landscaping this summer. Dr. Hennigan explained the short procedure and we chose the anesthesia to be used which is a regional block and because I am such a “ nervous Nellie,” a bit of monitored anesthesia. I am always impressed by how thorough his exams are and how he takes everything into consideration before heading in for surgery. Besides his surgical talents, Dr. Hennigan is a gentleman with no “attitude” of superiority. This is always appreciated ! Thank you, Dr. Hennigan, Kyle, and team!

Dr Henningen makes you feel at ease and you need that before a surgery. His text messages before and after the surgery are so helpful. We all forget what they say in the office and these messages help bring it back and help you stay on course. I so appreciated them. My surgery went well and so far the therapy is doing great. I would highly recommend Dr Henningen to anyone.

I chose Dr Hennigan as a second opinion and immediately decided that he would be my surgeon. He was very detailed and thorough about every aspect of the procedure/recovery. His beside manner was awesome as well as his staff. The text messages answered all my questions and provided great reminders for successful recovery and treatment. Would highly recommend Dr Hennigan and his staff.

I am 4 weeks postop a reverse shoulder replacement and it is a pleasure to write this review of Dr. Hennigan PA Kyle and RN Kayla. I write these thoughts through the eyes of an RN with many years experience as a ICU nurse. Dr. Hennigan is accomplished, warmly professional and is an excellent teacher as he explains complex orthopedic procedures carefully to ensure understanding. Of course, I had a list of questions before the surgery and Dr. Hennigan, Kyle PA and Kayla RN answered every one of them in a timely and caring manner. Communications post op on a daily basis were outstanding and something I have never seen before in other areas of surgery. Many times, I needed the post op reminders, but most importantly the daily communications also provided emotional support when sleep deprivation made me wonder if I was progressing on schedule. One particular communication focused on deep breathing to relax. Boy, did I need a reminder to do that numerous times! I knew I was in the hands of… a well respected surgeon and his team, but the attention to detail /support in the daily communications were outstanding. Thank you, Dr. Hennigan for your commitment to treating the whole person.

Great experience, wonderful staff!! Start practicing doing day to day stuff about a month before, it really helped me! Get a dual shower head, and a power tooth brush. They are not joking, when they say day 3 through 8 will be the toughest! Once the nerve block wears off, you will be uncomfortable, but day 8 was the day I felt great! Get a comfortable chair to sleep in, sleeping in bed was not comfortable for a few weeks! Have plenty of flexible ice packs ready to go, or have large pieces of ice for the ice machine, it helps when going to sleep, to make you more comfortable! Hope this helps!!!
