Simi Suri, DO

I declined an ultrasound scan as a low-risk patient, but the OB SURI scheduled an MFM referral and ultrasound against my wishes and canceled my remaining prenatal appointments with her. Disgusting practices and a failure to respect informed consent. I would not recommend this provider. Beware!

This woman is one of the most unprofessional drs I’ve ever allowed to take care of me. At six months pregnant she questioned whether or not I was ‘excited to have this baby’. I wanted to leave her care immediately which she somehow caught wind of and called me to apologized and beg to continue treating me. I was very high risk, and every time she mentioned it I would get anxious, shut down a bit and try to focus on what I needed to do to have the healthiest birth possible, which prompted a very vicious and uncalled for verbal attack. Regardless I stupidly forgave this woman, giving her the benefit of the doubt that she was human, and just had a bad day. I was wrong. she’s a disgustingly rude, vicious and cruel creature, because her emotional attacks on me didn’t end there. She refused to let my husband into my postpartum check up, stating that my husband and 4 lb baby counted as two people and couldn’t be allowed in the exam room, where she proceeded to tell me that it would not… be safe for me to have another child. By myself. While I was postpartum and clearly suffering she lied to me just to hurt me. How do I know she lied? Because at the next and last appointment I will ever have with her, with my husband present she said ‘I never said that, I said you had to wait a year’…now I could understand being forgetful or misunderstanding certain things, but she also mentioned I shouldn’t have more kids right after my c-section while I was being closed up on the table. This woman is so cruel. I wanted a warm, female to help me through this process and instead I now have severe anxiety and don’t trust any medical professionals other than my hematologist and GP that I’ve known for decades…the emotional trauma is still so severe that the memories still produce a lot of tears. I think that’s where this hurts the most. The woman that I should have trusted with my life and my child’s life, hurt me at my weakest moments and continued to do so for months after the child birth. Thank God I have an amazing husband that stood by me and recognized her inappropriate behavior as well. I think she new that I was sleep deprived and could get away, or that I wouldn’t notice the treatment. I’d be very very cautious…if you’re high risk please find someone else. If you’ve experienced any trauma in your life, please find someone else. This dr is not for you, or anyone else.

I left reviews on other platforms so people are aware of my experience. I was prescribed birth control pills for my PCOS in 2020. I had a terrible experience (awful, intolerable pain with the birth control pills that lasted over a month) and it had little to nothing to do with Dr. Suri but I did express this to her in my 2021 appointment a few days ago hoping I could get a lower dosage or perhaps even a different brand of birth control pills. She coldly told me “well that’s the lowest dosage, do you just not want to get your period?” and I was so shocked that a medical professional would tell me and ask me this, especially since I have PCOS and I am unable to get my period on my own and it isn’t treated. I responded with “well shouldn’t I get my period?” because I was genuinely confused and still shocked. She again responded with “well I don’t know what you want me to do, do you just not want your period?” and I just complied and said that I do and tried to deescalate the situation… because I felt threatened, unsafe and misunderstood. Needless to say, I left the appointment in tears and was urged by my friends and family to get a new gynecologist because she was unprofessional and cold.

Words can not describe how terrible my experience was with Dr Suri. She was not my provider throughout my pregnancy and I didn’t have a chance to meet her sadly until I started having contraction’s at 40 weeks and 1 day in the hospital. She was beyond rude, condescending and frankly made me feel unsafe. She basically declined me care because she didn’t agree with the birth plan i made, WITH MY PROVIDER FROM HER PRACTICE. She told me she would not allow me a TOLAC and also would not c section me until it was deemed an emergency situation. I left the hospital after being verbally abused and bullied by her, and basically unsafe to stay within the white planes hospital system and took myself, and my baby to be delivered at a different hospital less than 6 hours later. Save yourself from every having to deal with her. Seriously.

I am a patient of Dr.Simi Suri and I am in great hands. She's caring, sweet, compassionate, and always has a smile on her face. She makes me feel comfortable at every appointment and answers all my questions. I highly recommend Dr. Simi Suri. She's the best!

Dr Suri is the best dr I’ve ever been to. She is kind, patient, listens to everything you say, and is the sweetest! I’m so happy I found a dr that I feel comfortable with and that I can trust. Im pregnant and about to deliever soon and thanks to her and knowing she is going to be my doctor makes me feel much less anxious.
