Dr. Steven L. Brandwein, MD

Dr. Branwine is talented and worked with my other surgeon to help resolve some issues I was having when others were not willing to try. I felt he is knowledgeable, communicates well and he has earned my respect. I would recommend him to anyone who wants the best treatment and seeking good quality outcomes.

I’ve had 8 bouts of pancreatitis. May 2nd, 2108, he did an ERCP. I left that procedure as the last resort since another doctor in Boston had told me of the complications that scared me. After having 8 bouts of that, I was to the point of “alright, let’s just do this and see what’s causing this”. He knew I was afraid but he also knew I was fed up with going to the hospital every 3-6 months. He is a great doctor and he has helped me get my life back.

He has a tendency to unnecessarily refer a patient to another doctor within his own group and has his secretary or nurse do the dirty work. Otherwise he is a competent gastroenterologist .

Threatened by a second opinion. Dismissive and difficult to talk to, didn’t feel that he really listened to my concerns. He was distracted and talking about other patients to me rather than focused on what i was telling him. Overall his bedside manner is lacking and he’s very cavalier even when i went to him for chronic pain. Disappointing. I’m going to the city.

The Dr.( ? ) does not deserve a license!

Very knowledgeable doctor

Dr. Brandwein was known to myself professionally as a respected Gastroenterologist. As such I sought him out and discovered as a patient that his strong reputation is well deserved. I would send my family to him any day.

The only thing he is interested in is billing for tests. Didn't even bother to look at the ultrasound he ordered until 6 weeks after it was performed. Pathetic. Didn't want to see me again, rather he tried to hand me off to a P.A. He was however , more than ready to perform an endoscopy!$$$. Ridiculous, soooo not happening!

Dr. is a genius as well as a very caring medical professional. His diagnosises always hit the mark and he shows genuine concern. More importantly, he always takes the time to listen.However, getting into see him can sometimes be a hassle as well as when you need a prescription faxed to a pharmacy.I feel completely at ease with Dr. Brandwein, even when the "news" he delivers is not what I want to hear. I guess one can say that Dr. Brandwein "walks on water".
