Dr. Charles Stuart Pipkin, MD

Dr. Pipkin explained my condition and options. He and his staff are very professional. If I have another surgical procedure done in the future, he will be the one I will choose.

These people have absolutely NO respect for your privacy. None whatsoever. The receptionist LOUDLY calls out your full name, DOB, reason for visit and anything she happens to remember from ever speaking with you before. The nurse brought a patient's chart into the lobby, called out the gentleman's name, then LOUDLY continued to read out his list of prescriptions even though he kept pointing to the paperwork rather than saying any of them himself. The radiologist discussed a female patient's DOB, diagnosis, and previous medical procedure right there in the lobby. These women are clearly violating every HIPAA law ever known. The walls are paper thin. I heard every word the doctor, the patient, and his wife spoke. Not to mention that it took over an hour to see the doctor only to be advised to take a medication to which I am allergic, which he'd know had he even glanced at my chart.

My husband and I waited over an hour to see the Dr, after almost 1 1/2 hours the Dr came into the room with out so much as an apology for keeping us waiting. It is sad when a Doctor has such a high opinion of themselves that a common curtesy such as thank you for waiting or I am sorry that I ran late is to much for them to say. I had been to see Dr Pipkin a couple of times but this last visit his treatment and attitude toward my health and wellbeing was appalling. I left his office very sad and downtrodden, a true feeling of hopelessness after being told that because I have a degenerative issue I " need to get used to pain and it's not going to get better." I was even shushed by the Dr not once but three times while trying to answer his questions , when he had heard enough he told me to be quiet. I don't know if he was having a bad day or what the issue was but I left his office and immediately found a new Doctor. When a doctor speaks to their patients the way he spoke to me it… unfortunately has the propensity of creating a depressing down hill spiral especially if that patient doesn't have a good support system in place.

I trust Dr. Pipkin's diagnoses, but waiting for an office visit is unbearable. Average wait time is 2 1/2 hours from scheduled appointment.

Best ortho doc I've ever been to. And I have been to several. Long wait time in office, but so worth the wait. Bring a book. When it's your turn, he will stay with you until all your questions have been answered. Very compassionate.

You wait too long, much too long to get in the office to see him.....about 1/1/2 on average and I have had with my husband and myself about 6 visits with him.

I was very nervous and apprehensive about the thught of having back surgery. I must say that Dr. Pipkin and both his office staff and the staff at the Spine hospital made my surgery experience as pleasant and non frightening as it could possibly be. I highly recommend Dr. Pipkin and everyone that were involved in my surgery. THANK YOU ALL!

I had surgery in 2006. L3 L4 L5.Dr Pipkin is the best. Whole experience was excellent. You have wait for him and that can be a problem for Type A personalities. He is nice and listens to you.

"Good things come to those who wait". He is usually running behind, but Dr Pipkin is absolutely worth waiting for. My husband had dealt with extreme neck and back pain for years, and had been ignored by many other doctors. Within minutes, Dr Pipkin had a good idea what was going on and sent us in for an MRI to confirm his suspicions. A month and a half later, my husband is recovering nicely from a 3 level ACDF. He walks and feels 10x better than he has in a year. Contrary to another patients post, you are wasting your time if you go anywhere else.

I waited for 2 hours, in obvious pain. No one spoke to me, offered me water or explained why I had been waiting for 2 hours. When I finally told them I was leaving, they asked what room I had been in, nothing else. When I called to try and make a 1st appt. of the day with another doctor in that group, they said they would have to check and see if they could allow that. So, I am not worthy enough to be their patient even though I waited over 2 hours? That is just in keeping with the attitude shown to me while I wasted my afternoon. I would NOT recommend making an appt. here unless you feel your time is absolutely worthless.
