Dr. L Suzanne Flom, MD

Here are the facts about my experience with Dr Flom. She performed hypospadias repair on my son 16 years ago. The first surgery did not fix the problem. It made it worse. After the second surgery, he had major complications. I had to get my son's primary care physician involved because Dr Flom was not addressing my son's failing condition. He ended up in the hospital for several days. The second surgery failed. After receiving Dr. Flom's recommendation for the third surgery, we sought a 2nd and 3rd opinion. Both MDs disagreed with Dr Flom's proposal. We never went back to her. The second MD performed the third surgery on my son and fixed all of the problems that occurred from the first two surgeries. I don't recommend her.

Suzanne Flom is rude and condescending and should work in a position where she does not have to interact with educated adults. The entire visit with her was a horrible experience that left us seeking another urologist, preferably one outside of the Advocate network. I have no idea how she can possibly stay in business. Even more importantly I now am seriously questioning how other doctors in the Advocate network could have possibly recommended such a crass and uncaring individual to care for our son.

Nurse was great. Dr. Flom is very cold and the only time she smiled was when she discussed the possible surgeries she could perform on my son. Duh, that's how she makes her money (she is also very pro circumsicion). Visit left me feeling icky. We are seeking a second opinion at Lurie's.

Dr. Flom is the most hypocritical doctor ever. She makes faces at all the Hispanic patients she rollsbher eyes when asking questions and make people feel uncomfortable. She has refused patients for being late even when they give a heads up she will make u wait almost 2 hours just to be seen of you are late. She is the worst children's doctor I have ever encountered. You would think she would nicer to kids but she has a blank face and doesn't she patients as real people she sees them as $$$. Her PA is the best I would advised to go to her and not the Dr. Flom. Be aware if you go to her office because she is a two face.

She is the worst doctor I have ever seen. My daughter had surgery 15 years ago and she screwed up and left her with a obstruction after reimplanting her ureters. We watched her kidney function get worse for 7 months when I finally Got a second opinion with a wonderful MD at children's memorial , he had her back in surgery within the week and took 6 hours to fix her mess. She regained her kidney function. I am so glad I got a second opinion and am in the medical field so I could insist on testing to follow her obstruction which she told me was improving. I shudder to think what would have happened to my 7 year old. She didn't care about admitting her mistake , I was told she has never had to redo a surgery and refused to admit there was a problem. Run the other way and don't let her touch your child!!! She is not honest or caring.

Best western doc I have ever encountered

First of all be careful with the billing dept. here. Make sure to ask them how much you will need to shell out from the pocket. You will get a follow up billing. When I went to the office, she was not around. So my kid was attended by an Assistant doctor. The office could have called me and told about her absence. I was left with no choice as I was not getting other suitable apointment date. Overall the satisfaction level is low.

This was probably the worst doctor i've ever seen in my entire life. She shows no sign of emotion. She's very rude and doesn't make you feel comfortable at all. She doesn't listen to your concerns she just tells you what she has to say. I wasted my time by coming here, I don't recommend anybody to see this doctor. The only reason I gave a 1 out of 4 stars is for the front desk lady.

The staff was friendly. An appointment was made with ease and within 1 week of my call. The office policy is that no patient should wait more than 15 minutes and, in fact, my daughter and I were seen within 5 minutes of our arrival. The doctor was kind and attentive and spent a lot of time addressing our concerns. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We saw this dr a few months ago for my son who needs a surgery. After waiting for a very long time, and noticing that the doctor was just hanging out near the reception desk, not really doing much, i was already disappointed. then we were finally put into an exam room where we waited even longer. She finally rushed in, barely examined my son, and didnt need to see the ultrasound we brought on disc (and let me tell you what my poor baby went through to have that done!) and said she can do the surgery next week. Just by the way she spoke, and appeared, i could tell she thought we were some low life idiots on public aid. she was condesending, rude, and while asking her our many questions, she seemed bored and annoyed. We got the "i'm the doctor." well, we left. now its been a few months and my hubby and i have finally decided to do the surgery for my son. i looked this woman up to read her reviews and look at the terrible things i find. Well, i guess i wasnt the only one and i will… not be calling that office for the appt. Dr Flom if you ever read this, you should be ashamed of yourself. You should not be a doctor and need to re-learn the golden rule. and most horribily you are trusted with children, disgusting.
