Dr. Sylvia Ifeyinwa Okoye, MD

I saw this Dr first about 2 years ago in Gaston memorial and coincidentally at Piedmont SC after my family relocated. This Dr is one of the very few doctors that will take the time to actually sit with you and discuss what's going on. These include the medications you are taking or will be on, tests that you will undergo and the results. She cares deeply for her patient and always want the best out of every patient case she attends to. Similar incidence happened when my mother was admitted at Piedmont and she was the internist at the time. My mom was always looking forward to her morning rounds throughout her hospital admission. People of her kind are rare to see. Some other doctors like the obgyn I saw today will rush and hurry when seeing their patient and are very impatient to answer questions from their patients. It's not the case with this humble and intelligent doctor. I look forward to having someone of her personality and professional skill as my permanent primary care… Dr.
