Dr. Tara Mae Allen, MD

Dr Allen is wonderful. she helped me tremendously with my urinary issues. She has always outlined all of my options and explained in depth the outcomes. The office staff at her new location have always were friendly and very helpful. A very good experience and I will always want her to be part of my medical healthcare team.

My name is Randy Fleming my wife is Patricia Fleming dr. Alan did surgery on my wife put put in harmful Boston Scientific mesh after having surgery my wife has lots of complications because of the mesh doing research we understand how dangerous this stuff is and she knowingly put this in her body now she refuses to take it out she says her legal team tells her she should not she tells my wife that there's nothing wrong with her but yet gives her pain medicine she should not be practicing medicine and I would not recommend her to anybody we now have to search other doctors that will remove the mesh .Any patients out there that are considering having mesh put into them please give it a second thought do your homework make sure it's not Boston Scientific at least research it you will see. Doctor Alan didn't even get my wife a time of day after surgery to even come and see her to discharge her from the hospital she called her on the phone what kind of a doctor does that.

I am pleased with Dr. Allen. However, I saw her a week ago, and she asked her nurse to call in a new prescription for me. We get our medicines by mail. By Thursday of this week, still had not gotten my prescription, and no record of it being order. Called the office - got the recording that the office was open 7:30 AM til 5 PM M-F. It was 7:57 when I called. No answer. Talked with someone - sorry did not get name - told them my problem. Was told they would send in prescription yesterday. No prescription yet, so I called Express Scripts. They were to fax a request to the office. Called just a few minutes ago to see if they had gotten the request. Again - recording - office is closed. Open 7:30 AM til 5 PM M-F. No one to answer. Now - it is the weekend, I am about out of my medicine. Very upset!!!

I learned the hard way that I could not trust Dr. Tara Allen. In her office I was given a pamphlet about an injection for incontinence that was performed in the physicianâ??s office under local anesthesia. I was interested and requested the procedure. When I started asking questions, Dr. Allen was evasive. I understand now that she didnâ??t want me to know that she was planning to do the procedure in the hospital under general anesthesia. My subsequent inquiries were met with avoidance, diversion, half-truths, and outright lies. Two days before the surgery I was told that my insurance would not cover the procedure unless it was done in the hospital (not true). Only a few minutes before I was wheeled into the operating room, Dr. Allen told me I would have general anesthesia, explaining that I would not be able to tolerate the pain under a local (definitely not true). My out-of-pocket bill was $1,258. The next month I went to another doctor for a second injection (3 are typically… required). This was done in the doctorâ??s office with only a lidocaine injection. It only took a few minutes and the pain was less than an allergy shot. The insurance covered it and my out of pocket cost was $20. Goodbye, Dr. Allen.

Had an unusual condition that Dr. Allen confirmed diagnosis of.....found her by looking online and was very fortunate that she was 1) very familiar with the issue and 2) one of few physicians trained with the expertise to treat the issue. There is something special about Dr. Allen...her bedside manner, her personality, her professionalism, etc. is unique and very comforting. It's a long drive, but a no-brainer to see her from now on about any issue. The office staff has occasional bumps in the road, but I've had one appt scheduler who has been a tremendous help to me in getting appts made. I'm very, very grateful to have found Dr. Allen.

I didn't like the way she yank the wire out of my back after the trail Interstim and she doesn't act very concern after she does surgery she has done 2surge.riess on me and I'm still having issues and problems

Up until the last few months, I was very satisfied with Dr. Allen. I have been having a problem ordering my supplies, which I need every day, from my medical supply company. They have contacted Dr. Allen's office in Nashville to obtain needed medical information for them to send my supplies to me and have not received a response from her. This has been going on for several months. I also had been having a problem receiving a prescription for a UTI since Oct. of last year. My pharmacy and I finally figured out the prescription was being sent to the wrong pharmacy.
