Dr. Ted H Schwartzenfeld, DO

I went to see an this ENT specialist due to having sinuses problems for a few months now. Additionally, I have been having cough, sore throat and plugged nose for a week, so I thought I could get that treated too. I had an early AM appointment with Dr. Schwarzenfelf. It took me about 1 hour waiting, about 30 minutes in the patient room, to see the doctor. He apologized, and I am fairly tolerant of doctor's lateness, so it was not a big deal for me. However, the Dr. stayed less than 3 minutes with me. He read my symptoms descriptions which he did not seem to understand. I repeated them, and I "think" he understood. He said he would need a CT Scan of my sinuses to really understand what was going on chronically, but in the meantime he'd prescribe me something to help with my current sicky state. He did not tell me what he prescribed, and he had his back to me the whole time he was talking, and I don't know why but I didn't ask what he prescribed (assuming it would be the classic… stuff). I go to the pharmacy and hour later, and they say they have no prescriptions for me. I call the pharmacy 3 hours later, nothing. I call the office. They apologize and say they are sending it in again. I call the pharmacy 3 hours later again. nothing. I call the office again. They apologize again. They say they are sending it in again. I ask what my prescription is for. They say "Singulair". I look it up and this is an asthma medication. I am very confused (as I do not suffer from asthma symptoms) and I ask if I can speak to the doctor. They say no, and "this is what is on your chart", so I go like, whatever, doctors know what I need, I will trust that. I call the pharmacy at night before they close, they have no prescription for me. So now I am just wishing I had gone to the urgent care, and had spent a lot more time researching for a specialist. I call the office again early in the morning, explain I still don't have my prescription, they say sorry and they will send it in, I said "No, you said that twice yesterday". They go talk to the back office that handles prescriptions, and tell me it takes up to 72 hours for the prescriptions to be sent in. I am absolutely shocked. This was not communicated to me, and I am dying coughing, I receive a prescription I am not confident will help, but then - I need to wait THREE DAYS to get it???? I kindly asked them to cancel my prescription, cancel my scheduled CT Scan, and I will obviously not be returning there, and now I am on my way to Urgent Care, and will figure out my chronic sinuses issue at some other time with another ENT specialist. (Their phone wait times are also not great, which again, I am fairly understanding of that as long as I get the medical services I need - which I didn't. Apparently, if I were having an aesthetic nose job the service would have been better.)

I didn't like his bedside manner or his medical. His delay or lack of care almost cost me my hearing in my right ear

I had this guy do a septoplasty and inferior turbinate reduction. He said they used dissolvable sutures which only take a few weeks to dissolve. TWO MONTHS LATER I removed them myself because they were causing so much discomfort. Very short in the exam room. Guess is my fault for going through with it but this guy just wants your insurance money. AVOID THIS GUY LIKE THE PLAGUE

Total waste of time, he totally dismissed my condition and told me nothing was wrong. Didn't even read the results of my CAT scan. Another doctor read the CAT scan and diagnosed & treated my condition. I wish I had read reviews on him before wasting my time and money.

No manners, doesn't apologize for time I spent waiting, did exam, just blah in explanation of tests. Would find another Dr.

I will never return to this doctors office. I'm a new patient no one infromed me prior to the visit that i shouldnt wear perfume or body spray. So they to me to reschedule just a waste of time and the lady ay the desk was very rude.

Don't waste your time with this doctor. He's a quack. Said I could return to work. Soon after I had two major neurological episodes where I was taken by ambulance and admitted to the hosp. So much for do no harm

Time for this doctor to retire. No interpersonal skills whatsoever. As old fashion as they come.

I would not recommend going to this doctor, or this office in general. The office staff is curt and unfriendly overall, and they lost paperwork sent over for me TWICE. Dr S. is pretty crummy; he barely spoke to me, was rude to his staff, and just kept sending me to get sleep studies without much explanation. I have yet to find a good ENT, good luck to you; I definitely would say not to come here!

First, the ladies at the desk were far from pleasant, they were completely unprofessional and extremely rude. i have previously owned a business, I was seriously disgusted that the I took off work to attempt to fix my ear needless to say....it was an unsuccessful visit. A complete waste of money, waste of time, and to be honestthe whole office is kind of a waste. Doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, medical whoever....Should be caring, concerned, problem solving individuals. This office is not like that. I will never recommend anyone to go there. NEVER.
