This oncologist failed to recognize or act on clear signs of lymphoma recurrence, despite the patient reporting persistent leg pain and swelling for several months after a short remission period. These symptoms should have prompted immediate investigation, yet no timely referral for CAR-T cell therapy—the appropriate next-line treatment—was made. Even a well known doctor at Stanford had to directly call this person after ordering further treatment to sufficiently motivate them to act on his recommendations. This delay allowed the lymphoma to return aggressively and ultimately caused an early death. The lack of responsiveness, urgency, and clinical judgment demonstrated in this case is deeply concerning; Dr. Troung just couldn't be bothered. No one should entrust their care to a callous, uncaring oncologist whose only real concern seems to be collecting a paycheck. Bring your loved ones to someone who actually cares.

I would not recommend Dr. Truong to anyone nor would I recommend Cleveland Clinic. Her delay in care caused direct harm to a patient. My parents put their trust and my father’s life in her hands and with her negligent care she caused harm. My father has metastatic melanoma and had been referred to the Cleveland Clinic to Dr Truong in November 2024. He was supposed to start treatment in which the office failed to schedule. So we started to call the office and ask what the hold up was. By the time Dr Truong set up a telehealth appointment with my father it was in January. Keep in mind from November to January he had no treatment at all in which this allowed the cancer to spread. Fast forward 2 weeks and still nothing had been ordered. My father was in a lot of pain so my mom took him to U of M ER in which they did CT scans and the cancer had spread significantly throughout his body since November. And I 100% blame Dr Truong for this. Her delay in care caused direct patient harm. I do… not recommend Dr Truong to anyone as she took an oath to care for her patients and failed miserably to do so. Now he will be getting his treatment at U of M and Columbus Ohio and all we can do is pray that her negligence doesn’t cost my father his life.
