Dr. Thomas James Gill, MD

Was there about my sternoclavicular joints. He forcibly dislocated my shoulder. He admitted he heard and felt it happen. And then, with a fascinated look on his face he did it six more times. Didn’t bother to look at imaging, told me there’s no options and how wonderful 800mg ibuprofen is {wasn’t there for pain meds, wouldn’t have accepted them if he’d offered}. If I did to him what he did to me it would be assault.

I had a ski racing crash and tore off my hamstring. Dr Gill was accurate and swift to diagnose the problem. PO and following his rehab protocol to a T I returned to racing the very next season and got on the Podium at both Eastern Regionals and National Championships.

As an athlete in my spare time, I have seen Dr. Gill for three separate procedures. Dr. Gill's experience and dedication was apparent upon my first visit. That was my torn ACL in 2005 which he accurately diagnosed in about 5 minutes and later repaired. Since then he repaired my shoulder twice after cycling accidents. He is the best. I have had a full recovery from all of the procedures and am still going strong at age 54 thanks to him.

Dr. Gill was the second physician I consulted for rotator cuff injuries. He was totally supportive of recovering my ability to return to an active lifestyle, including kayaking (as a "senior citizen"), unlike the first doctor. It was an amazingly positive shift in treatment. My shoulder is much better; kayaked in Hawaii!

I have had TEN (yes 10!) knee surgeries on my left knee- all relating to an original ACL tear with subsequent complications. From the moment Dr Gill viewed my x-rays, he immediately knew the underlying cause of my ongoing lack of range of motion and issues. He reconstructed my knee and replaced the ACL graft and I literally have not had this much stability and motion in my knee in 20 years! If you think all Drs are created equal, I assure you they aren't. He truly is a specialist.

I was referred to Dr Gill by Dr Jessica Aidlen when i was having terrible pain in my shoulder. My first visit was wonderful as he answered all of my questions and you could tell he was a very honest man. Of course I googled him. Said he was a Knee God. I was also told by so many how horrific that type of surgery is with pain post op and the time it takes to heal. Six months later.. Doing great! Had no pain! Took me half the time to recover! I now pronounce him a Shoulder God!
