Dr. Tracy Anne Contant, MD

I'm sorry I did not see, read, or heed the reviews. I wanted a female Ob/Gyn thinking that a woman would have a better appreciation and ability to empathize in this specialty. OMG was I ever wrong. This woman is about the coldest individual I have ever seen in a medical setting. Not for one second did I feel that she had any interest in me as a person. Waited for more than 45 minutes and she hurried in without the slightest acknowledgement of her tardiness or my wait. I honestly did not even want to let her touch me, I shudder now even thinking about it. Want to pick a better Ob/Gyn? Throw a dart at the phone book.

Never called to check on me after performing major surgery, which also didn't go as planned. Never called to explain the change in plans that took place during the operation, or next steps. Took more than a week to call me with preliminary pathology findings, then forgot to call with the final report. Kept me waiting for over an hour for my one and only post-op follow-up visit where we were to finally discuss the pathology report and next steps. I had to leave the office as there was no promise of when she would see me after 1 hour and 15 minutes past my appointment time.

Her entire demeanor changed with me after I was unhappy with her decision to only do one procedure on me instead of really listening to me and looking at all the facts stating one procedure was not going to take care of my health issues. For her, this meant the "in-office" procedure was no longer because I needed a more extensive surgery that would be then considered out-patient at the hospital. My insurance would then make a major deduction since their coverage for in-office procedures was 0% vs. the hospital out-patient being covered at 90%. If I had known that I was going to waste $200 on all my office visits prior to finding this out, I would have most definitely gone to a different doctor. Now I'm starting all over because she decided to move my surgery back a month since she would rather go on vacation. I'm done with St. Joseph's.

Dr. Contant is very intelligent, caring, knowledgeable, and candid. She is an excellent listener, and answers all questions thoughtfully and respectfully, responding compassionately to issues that another doctor might consider trivial. My ONLY problem with Dr. Contant is that she left her last practice and now I can't find her.

Dr.Contant is one of the best doctors. I had her for 2 pregnancies, and plan to have her for my 3rd. She is very intelligent and compassionate.

Dr Tracy Contant was rude, I waited in the room for close to 1 hr. Once she came into the room it was all down hill from there. She was rude and even insulted me. She was very insensitive to my feelings or the pain that I was feeling. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.
