Dr. Trung Minh Nguyen, MD

I am not sure why I am unable to give Dr. Trung a five-star rating on this site today but I have been very pleased with his professionalism and service for the past 17 years. He and Candace work very hard and sometimes need better trained office help, but overall I am very satisfied with them.

Our family has been patients of Dr. Nguyen’s since 2004. Our primary care physician originally referred us to Dr. Nguyen and under his care with proper follow up we know that the health of our eyes is always in the very best hands. Over the years I have learned of others that also have Dr Nguyen has their eye doctor and are very happy and confident in seeing him and the care that they too are given. He takes the time to explain to us what tests he wants to do and why and to review the test results with us. If we have any questions or concerns during an appointment with him he never rushes us to end the appointment, He listens and takes time with us. Yes – we do understand that occasionally we might have to wait a little bit beyond our appointment time to see him – but we know that he will always take time with us when our turn comes if extra time is needed. My husband recently had cataract surgery in both eyes – one a month apart from the other. Dr. Nguyen and his staff took… the time to fully explain the procedure and the medications that needed to be used and any follow up appointments. As my husband was waiting in the surgery area for his eyes to dilate for the procedure and also after the surgery was completed Dr. Nguyen came out to let us know how he was doing. We all feel very confident and comfortable having him for our eye doctor and often recommend him to others.

Worst doctor ever! His wife/office manager is very rude and condescending. Very unprofessional! All they care about is taking your money or bill your insurance and provide poor service.

Dr Nguyen answered my concerns and helped me set up an appointment with a referral as well. He is friendly and professional.

Wow, reading the other comments made me want to jump in and give our opinion. Our fam has been seeing this eye doc for 7 years. I understand the concerns about his office staff and agree with some of the comments: ie. don't seem to understand insurance Q's, unhelpful, etc. However, the doctor is extremely caring, focused on helping you, great with kids, and super duper smart. He's the doctor our own internist recommended (goes to him himself), and he's well regarded with his peers. He is smart, very much so, highly educated and comes across as thinking you are not as smart as he is. Oh well. That doesn't bother our family; we find him personable and a good sense of humor and willing to listen. My husband had an ongoing eye infection and Dr. Ngyen followed up well, took the conservative route (instead of surgery recommended a series of progressively stronger eye drops and salves), and tracked his progress. My kids find him warm and funny, very pleasant and encouraging them in their… studies and joking with them. He's a good guy with exceptional credentials. His staff is not warm nor very helpful and more interested in selling glasses but HE is the opposite. He gives us our prescriptions so we can fill them at Costco with no remark or complaint like some eye docs do. Anyway, he's a good guy and we highly recommend him.
