Dr. Tyler Christian Collins, MD

I was referred to Dr. Collins by an urgent care doctor that was concerned I tore a ligament in my knee. The urgent care doctor explained the tear may not always show on an X-ray, and I may need an MRI. Dr. Collins spent approximately five minutes with me, and determined I had a bone bruise (since he did not see anything on the xray). He told me it should heal in about a month. No further information was provided on care, or what to about the pain I was experiencing. When I asked what I should do about the pain he (reluctantly, it seemed) offered to prescribe a muscle relaxant, which I refused. I understand I am not an expert, so I will follow the (only) advice provided, which is that I should be healed in about a month. However, I will not be utilizing his services again. I prefer a doctor that will take a little more time with patients, and actively helps properly educate (instead of me searching the internet and trying to find factual information).

If you are seeking Orthopedic care, I highly recommend Dr. Collins! I assure you that he will exceed your expectations. Dr. Collins is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and takes his time listen to better understand your healthcare needs. As a medical professional with over 40 years experience, I have the ability to recognize excellent medical care. Dr. Collins acts rude and disinterested in nearly every appointment. Last week he was not forthcoming about MRI results I had already seen. Two other providers were able to tell me everything going on and now I’ll be getting my elbow fixed.

I have been a patient of Dr. Collins since 2017. Both the shoulder surgery and hip surgeries he did on me required follow up surgeries by other surgeons. Thankfully, my shoulder is 95% recovered and my hip is now fixed correctly. Dr. Collins does the minimum amount of work and his nonchalant attitude along with the minimum amount of work shows he was not truly invested in helping me. In the future I hope he learns to actually listen to his patients and acknowledge when pain is present, a source exists. He may actually enjoy his career more if he was actually invested.

Tyler took time to explain and explore options to work with my spine challenges. Things have progressed to see a surgeon specialist. However, Tyler's excellent review, the Core Institute Staff and nurses have made it easier for me to understand the how this journey is progressing to.

Awesome 5 star Dr Collins was my second opinion & I thank my higher power he was first doctor took me for a ride went to Collins within 5 days I was in surgery, am beyond satisfied with his surgery Thanks Dr Collins, AVID FAN:))????!!!

He spent lots of time explaining surgery and rehab. He also explained a Plan B procedure in case there was more damage than anticipated. Positive and confident when I left.

I didn't have a follow up after my injection Now it's been over 2 months and I'm going back for some answers.
